This Buy-One-Get-One Beauty Sale Allows You To Save *Big* On Next-Level Skin Care Technology
It’s the most wonderful deal of the year.
There are Black Friday deals, and then there’s Solawave’s Buy One Get One special — which is quickly becoming our favorite annual skin care event. Specializing in making advanced skin care technology more accessible, Solawave has created a variety of light therapy tools, masks, and ancillary topicals that, since its launch in 2020, have helped earn the brand over 15 beauty awards and a dedicated celebrity following.
This year’s Black Friday bargain lets you cover more gifting ground by giving you an additional skin care kit for free (!!!) with every kit you purchase. Whether you keep the bonus skin care kit for yourself or set it aside for someone else, Solawave’s sale allows you to save hundreds of dollars.
Though the buy one, get one free deal runs through December 2, 2024, it’s contingent on available supplies – so you’ll want to act fast. If you’re not sure where to start, we’re breaking down the details on our favorite Solawave kits, ahead.
Solawave 4-In-1 Skincare Wand Kit
Fast Facts:
- Overview: A portable tool that utilizes red light therapy to reduce the appearance of fine lines, discoloration, and blemishes, paired with a daily serum
- Key ingredients: Ionic mineral complex, nonapeptide-1, hyaluronic acid
- Red light therapy
- Galvanic current
- Facial massage
- Therapeutic warmth
- Available in three colors
Solawave’s most popular product, the 4-In-1 Radiant Renewal Skincare Wand was created to bring the benefits of an in-office red light therapy treatment to your home. The travel-friendly wand is completely painless and uses a built-in timer that gives you a complete 12-minute treatment of red light therapy at an effective wavelength of 630 nanometers. (You’re meant to treat your face in four different sections, as the device will pause after three-minute intervals to signal that it’s time to move on to the next spot, FYI.) Backed by dermatologists like Dr. Sheila Farhang, M.D., red light, like that used by the Solawave wand, is believed to help with minimizing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, reducing inflammation, and fading hyperpigmentation by boosting the skin’s collagen and elastin production. Additionally, the wand, which features a rotatable head to better reach areas like around the under-eyes, includes galvanic current, therapeutic warmth, and facial massage technologies to aid with relaxation, product absorption, and de-puffing.
Because it’s designed to be used with a serum, the kit comes with Solawave’s LightBoost Wand Activating Serum. Not only does a serum give the wand some glide as you slowly move it across your skin, but thanks to the galvanic current technology, it also encourages the skin to better absorb ingredients from any topical products you pair it with. To complement the wand’s benefits, the serum is formulated with multiple peptides to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin, as well as moisturizing and soothing ingredients like hyaluronic acid, aloe vera, and algae extract.
Solawave Bye Acne Pro Kit
Fast Facts:
- Overview: A spot treatment device utilizing blue and red light therapies to reduce breakouts, paired with microdart hydrocolloid patches
- Key ingredients: Niacinamide, centella asiatica, green tea leaf extract
- Blue light therapy
- Red light therapy
- Three-minute treatment
- Available in two colors
Red light can help with reducing some of the redness and inflammation that often accompanies breakouts, but if you really want to speed up healing time, you’ll want to add blue light into the mix. The Solawave Bye Acne Pro Kit pairs red light with low-level blue light wavelengths at 415 nanometers to help both clear current breakouts and prevent new ones from forming by killing acne-causing bacteria and reducing excess sebum production. Once the device is powered on, it will automatically start a three-minute session that lets you spot-treat breakouts. Post-light therapy, the kit allows you to continue treating acne while you sleep with the brand’s Serum-Infused Microdart Patches. The hydrocolloid patches provide a protective layer that accelerates wound healing and keeps out bacteria, but they also contain active ingredients like niacinamide, centella asiatica, and green tea leaf extract. Designed to be worn anywhere from four hours to overnight, the patches contain teeny tiny microdarts that dissolve once you press the patch against your skin and release the soothing and brightening ingredients to prevent post-acne spots.
Solawave Eye Recovery Pro Kit
Fast Facts:
- Overview: A red light therapy mask designed to treat fine lines, wrinkles, crow’s feet, 11 lines, dark circles, and puffiness, paired with an eye cream
- Key ingredients: Caffeine, peptides, ceramides
- Red light therapy
- Amber light therapy
- Deep red light therapy
- Near-infrared light therapy
- Three-minute treatment
The newest launch from the brand, this Eye Recovery Pro Kit features an eye mask made from flexible, medical-grade silicone. Like the other devices from Solawave, the mask is cordless and rechargeable, but this one is also hands-free, thanks to its adjustable Velcro straps that secure around the head. Because the skin around the eyes is so delicate, the mask uses four different light therapies to better target issues specific to the area, such as fine lines, puffiness, and unwanted dark circles. In addition to the red light therapy found in the OG wand, the eye mask includes amber light, deep red light, and a stronger near-infrared light at a wavelength of 880 nanometers that helps with overall radiance.
Once powered on, the eye mask will automatically start a three-minute treatment, which can be further enhanced by applying the LightBoost Eye Cream included in the kit beforehand. The fragrance-free eye cream is packed with moisturizing and skin barrier-strengthening ingredients like ceramides, hyaluronic acid, squalane, and shea butter. Better still, it has more than a half dozen peptides to stimulate collagen production, as well as caffeine to reduce signs of under-eye fatigue. Like all of Solawave’s topicals, the eye cream is cruelty-free and vegan, and you can also use it when you’re not wearing the Eye Recovery Pro mask.
Solawave 2-In-1 Mini Glow Essentials
Fast Facts:
- Overview: A compact red light therapy device that can be used on the face and body to improve skin firmness, elasticity, and radiance, paired with hydrating sheet masks
- Key ingredients: Niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, panthenol
- Red light therapy
- Near-infrared light therapy
- Therapeutic warmth
- 12-minute treatment
Perhaps the most versatile kit on the list, the Solawave 2-In-1 Mini Glow Essentials pairs Solawave’s 2-In-1 Skincare Mini device with a set of five Hydrating Sheet Masks. The handheld device uses red light and near-infrared light therapy to diminish the appearance of fine lines while amping up your skin’s radiance. Then, there’s therapeutic warmth technology, which gently soothes skin at a temperature of 100 degrees Fahrenheit and supports product absorption for a spa-like touch. You’ll want to use the mini three times each week for a minimum of four weeks to start seeing results, and work by moving the chargeable device over each area for three minutes (each treatment session is automatically timed for 12 minutes).
Separate from the device, you can also incorporate the brand’s Hydrating Sheet Mask into your routine. Each individually packaged mask is infused with a moisturizing and brightening serum to maximize the results of your light therapy treatments. A 2% concentration of niacinamide is the hero ingredient in here, which is prized for its ability to improve elasticity and promote a more even skin tone without causing any kind of irritation (in fact, niacinamide can actually help calm redness and inflammation). Meanwhile, to help plump up skin in just 10 minutes, the serum includes several types of hyaluronic acid, avocado fruit extract, and panthenol.
