If you’re committed to a skin care routine for your face — whether you swear by a lengthy 10-step process or just a handful of tried-and-true favorites — but you’ve yet to bring that same level of commitment to the rest of your skin, Nativa SPA has you covered. The Brazilian beauty brand just introduced a three-product range of lilac-scented body care products that can be used individually or all together to pick up where your nightly face moisturizer leaves off. Powered by plant-based ingredients that are rich in skin-nourishing fatty acids and antioxidants, the lotion, body oil cream, and hand and foot cream that make up Nativa SPA’s Lilac collection also embrace a more sustainable vision. In addition to being a subsidiary of the sixth most sustainable cosmetics company in the world, Nativa SPA’s products are vegan and Leaping Bunny-certified cruelty-free, and use packaging made from post-consumer recycled materials. Fast Facts:

  • Key benefits: moisturizes, smooths, protects skin barrier
  • Key ingredients: quinoa seed oil, bio-retinol
  • Cruelty-free
  • Vegan

For a comprehensive body care routine, Nativa SPA offers its three-piece Lilac Smoothing Ritual Set for 20% less than the price of purchasing all of the products separately. Included in the lineup is the Lilac Smoothing Body Lotion for lightweight hydration, the Lilac Smoothing Whipped Oil Body Cream for a more nourishing formula, and the Lilac Smoothing Hands And Feet Cream. Though each of the products features its own unique formula, there are a few similarities — starting with the creamy and sweet floral fragrance, which comprises four purple flowers: lavender, violet, iris, and lilac.

They also share the same two key ingredients: quinoa seed oil and bio-retinol. Quinoa seed oil is said to be a richer source of omegas 3, 6, and 9, and it also contains antioxidant properties that help to protect your skin from free radical damage, making the ingredient effective at both moisturizing the skin and supporting its barrier function. Meanwhile, the bio-retinol included in each of the formulas works similarly to the retinol traditionally seen in skin care products to promote smoother, more even skin, but because it's plant-based, it doesn’t run the same risk of irritation.

If you’re curious about the other ingredients in the lilac lineup, here’s a closer look at each product.

You can use this body lotion on its own to help moisturize and protect the skin barrier for up to 48 hours, or layer it over the Smoothing Whipped Oil Body Cream (or any body oil) for longer-lasting hydration. Either way, the Lilac Smoothing Body Lotion combines that quinoa oil and bio-retinol mentioned earlier with glycerin and shea butter. The lightweight formula absorbs quickly, so even if you apply it in the morning, you can quickly get dressed and be out the door, and it uses a pump top to keep application mess-free.

When you want something that feels more luxurious, this Lilac Smoothing Whipped Oil Body Cream is your best bet. A new formulation from Nativa SPA, the rich cream melts into a silky oil once it’s smoothed over your skin for a more concentrated hit of hydration. You can scoop the body cream out by hand, but the brand also makes a golden spoon that lets you apply the cream without getting it under your fingernails (plus, it prevents your fingers from introducing bacteria into the formula).

Because your hands and feet need some attention, too, the brand also introduced this travel-friendly Lilac Smoothing Hands and Feet cream. The thicker formula was designed to target stubborn dry feet and alleviate hands from overwashing, which is why it includes additional conditioning ingredients like shea butter, panthenol, and mango butter. Nativa SPA especially recommends applying it after washing your hands to keep them at their smoothest.
