The Cult-Favorite Moisturizer Celebs Are Obsessed With Just Got A *Little* More Affordable
Bigger bottle, bigger savings.

There are cult-favorite beauty brands, and then there’s Augustinus Bader. Almost immediately following its debut in 2018, the skin care line amassed a following of celebrities ranging from A-listers like Margot Robbie and Jennifer Aniston to makeup artists like Pat McGrath and Daniel Martin. (Victoria Beckham even loved the products so much that she teamed up with the brand to create formulas for her own beauty line.) And that popularity stems from good reason. The skin care brand is backed by more than 30 years of scientific research by brand founder Professor Augustinus Bader, a biomedical scientist and physician. His expertise in the stem cell biology and regenerative medicine fields led to the creation of the patented Trigger Factor Complex (or TFC8®) technology that powers each of the formulas housed in the brand’s signature blue bottles.
While there are many products in the lineup to love, there are undeniably two standouts that have reached icon status: The Rich Cream and The Cream. And to celebrate the award-winning moisturizers, Augustinus Bader has introduced a new 100-milliliter size. The larger blue bottle is definitely still a splurge at $550, but the new size is $30 less than what you would spend on two of the original 50-milliliter bottles — so you can save a few bucks and restock less often.

The Rich Cream
The Rich Cream will be your go-to if your skin is on the drier side. As mentioned above, the patented TFC8® is at the heart of the moisturizer, a technology that uses amino acids, vitamins, and synthesized molecules that are naturally found in our bodies to provide more nourishment and protection to the skin. For more plumping and hydrating benefits, the cream is formulated with ceramides, peptides, and other nourishing ingredients aimed at drawing more moisture to the skin and sealing it in (think squalane, hyaluronic acid, shea butter, argan oil, and evening primrose oil).
The Cream
If you have combination to oily skin, The Cream will likely be a better bet. Like The Rich Cream before it, The Cream still uses TFC8®, but it combines the patented technology with a small concentration of retinyl palmitate, a derivative of vitamin A that helps to speed up skin cell turnover. Many of The Rich Cream’s same ceramides, peptides, and moisturizing ingredients are included in this formula, too, but because The Cream leaves out some of those heavier moisturizers like evening primrose oil and argan oil, you’ll find this to be a more lightweight option.
