The Best Places To Have Sex Based On Your Sign

So much can be said about you based on your zodiac sign. For instance, if you’re a Gemini, then your optimism and energy is best suited for jobs in fast-pace, high pressured environments. But how does your zodiac sign affect your sex life? If you’re a Leo, your best sex would probably be with a Libra because as the stars have it, your relationship will be full of “fireworks, drama, and romance.” If you or your lover is a Cancer, you’re all about the spooning, while Scorpios are all about the kink. Whether you believe in its accuracy or not, your zodiac sign can heavily influence many aspects of your life, especially your sexual nature.

I talked to Alison Lessard, CEO of South Beach-based, Lessard Luxury Wellness, LLC, which offers intuitive tarot and astrology readings, on her take on sex and astrology. Lessard, who also founded The Cosmic Sex movement, gave Bustle a lot of insight into the sex lives of each sign. Such as, did you know Sagittarians are all about the “call of the wild” and would do you up against a tree, while Taureans have more luxe tastes and would rather do it at The Four Seasons? Well, they would. So, read on and let the stars guide you to the best places for you to have sex. At the very least, it will give you some very interesting date-night ideas.

Aries (March 21-April 19): Whenever, Wherever

"Aries is one of the most direct (and at times vulgar) signs of zodiac, but their vulgarity isn't intentional; it's a by-product of their desire to move quickly and impulsively. When it comes to sex, it needs to be whenever and wherever the mood strikes! Aries are known for having a very strong, but also short-lived, sex drive," Lessard says. "A five or 10-minute quickie out in public, like sneaking into one of the private bathrooms at the movie theater after catching a film, and banging it out there in the moment will totally turn an Aries on."

Taurus (April 20-May 20): Let’s Go Luxe

Lessard says, "It's a five-senses extravaganza for Taurus, so don't even think about sex with them unless you have all the bases covered. Set up a date-night at a luxury hotel, like The Four Seasons, and go through ALL the motions from start to finish — fancy dinner with top-notch food, candles, scents are a must (even if you have a signature cologne or perfume; Taurus is a sign of comfort and habits, so you can train them to feel cozy with you if you continuously wear the same scent), 600-plus thread count sheets and some sensual music and be ready for hours of love-making, because Taurus want tons of foreplay before you even get close to the major action. It'll definitely be a long night."

Gemini (May 21-June 21): It’s All About Variety

"Gemini is the sign of communication and also of curiosity. They're the butterflies of the zodiac. There should be dirty talk involved (starting with some naughty texts throughout the day will guarantee a fun night) and having sex in a place like the living room floor littered with pillows of various sizes (you never know what you'll need and different angles are a necessity!) will give you plenty of room to change positions often. A Gemini craves variety and a lot of mental stimulation, so be prepared to get innovative and brush up on your risqué vocab. Gemini also gets bored quickly, so it might be helpful to download the latest Kama Sutra app on your phone and store it nearby to keep things fresh!" Lessard says.

Cancer (June 22-July 22): Home Is Where It's At

"First of all, Cancer is the zodiac sign that rules the breasts, so either butter yours up or be prepared to fondle hers, because it's Cancer's erotic zone," Lessard says. "Cancers also must feel safe emotionally before they get down, so you want to lead into sex with them with a lot of verbal reassurance. Tell them how beautiful and sexy they are and once they let down their guard, they can be some of the most erotic and kinky lovers out there! Spontaneity is great for Cancers once they trust you, so after you've done your homework and gotten past the hard outer shell, go for an impromptu sex date by setting the mood. Bring them out to a nice dinner, then as soon as you walk in the door, press them up against the wall and strip off their clothes. Do it in the hallway or on the kitchen counter!"

Leo (July 23-August 22): In Front Of An Audience

"Hellooooooo, Center Stage! Leos are known for their dramatic behavior and love of the spotlight. Leos aren't shy and they want a lot of attention. Did I mention a LOT?" Lessard says. "The best place for a Leo to have sex is where they can be fully SEEN in all their glory. Go to The Standard High Line in NYC where there are no curtains on the windows or have sex where you can set up a video camera. Leos would be one of the first in line of the zodiac to go for making an amateur home video! True Leos embody exhibitionism at its finest."

Virgo (August 23 – September 22): As Long As It's Clean, It'll Do

"If you want to get dirty with a Virgo, you had better be CLEAN," Lessard says. "It's the zodiac sign of health and purity. Having optimal personal hygiene and a pristine location for sexy time is a must. Set up the bed with crisp, white, freshly washed, bleached and pressed sheets and make sure your home is spotless (ESPECIALLY your bathroom!) before you even think about inviting a Virgo into bed with you. Virgos will also keep tabs in bed on what works and what doesn't and are all about favors for others, so get ready to potentially hear a critique at the end of your love-making session. Try not to roll your eyes, because they don't like criticism. Their brains work like computers and they praise anything organized and efficient, so don't take it personally if they tell you what you did "wrong" after the act. In their mind, they just want it to be better next time so you don't waste precious time. Gotta love that O.C.D."

Libra (September 23 – October 22): Mirror, Mirror

As Lessard says, "Libra is one of the classiest and most elegant signs of the zodiac. They praise anything aesthetically beautiful or pleasing to the senses. They also love the human form, so don't wear those baggy pants on a date, because it will totally gross a Libra out. Show off your figure and own what your momma gave you! Libra is also the zodiac sign of Others and they learn a lot, not to mention get a ton of enjoyment, out of watching their partners receive pleasure. The best place for Libras to have sex is in front of a mirror, so they can allow their voyeuristic tendencies to turn up their sexual dial."

Scorpio (October 23-November 21): Red Room Of Pain

"Fifty Shades of Kinky, anyone? Scorpio are one of the most intense signs of the zodiac; Deeply sexual, possessive and seriously obsessed with privacy. A Scorpio doesn't just want to penetrate your body... they want to penetrate your SOUL. The best place for a Scorpio to have sex is somewhere taboo or secretive. A hidden room, someplace dark, a place where they've never done it before or anywhere where they can create a sense of being in control," Lessard says. "Teacher/student role-playing would drive them up the wall. Handcuffs or sex toys would be an excellent accessory, because a Scorpio will do just about anything... if they actually like you. They're very picky about who they allow into their sexual sphere."

Sagittarius (November 22 – December 21): In The Wild

"'Call of the Wild' is the best way to define a Sagittarius," Lessard says. "Free-spirited, outdoorsy and designated as half man/half horse in the zodiac makes a Sag very primal and animalistic when it comes to sex. They also want to have FUN, so laughter and keeping it light will really turn them on. Since they love to be active and in nature, the best place to pin a Sagittarius down for sex is up against a big tree in the wilderness during a hike, in the grass in the middle of a long walk or on the beach under the stars."

Capricorn (December 22-January 19): Behind Closed Doors

"People THINK Capricorn are prudish and shy, but really they are just extremely private and an earthy sign that needs time to warm up before they sizzle," Lessard says. "Typically Capricorns — hidden underneath the colder exterior — are hot lovers! The thing about them is that they need ample physical stimulation before they're ready to go big. The best place for sex with a Capricorn would be at a spa getaway, either after a professional couples massage, or after rubbing each other down in the bedroom. And they MUST be behind closed doors if you ever want a chance. Capricorns are definitely not into PDAs or doing it anywhere remotely near the public eye."

Aquarius (January 20 – February 18): The URL

"Aquarius aren't necessarily the most sexed up signs of the zodiac and they may have a tendency to be a bit cold or move into observer-mode during sex. Since there is no use fighting the flow, one of the best places for sex with Aquarius is via the internet, on Skype or by telephone. You can also get them in the mood by sending sexy pictures via text message or email and all of a sudden you'll see their freaky side come to life. They'll get off from a certain element of distance or detachment. Just don't expect them to be all warm and fuzzy or you're in for a major letdown. Cuddling and spooning is not their strong suit," Lessard says.

Pisces (February 19-March 20): The Pool

"This sign is truly the chameleon of the zodiac, and Pisces will absorb the desires of their partner," Lessard says. "Pisces is ruled by Neptune, the planet of illusion and fantasy, so making a Pisces feel like they're in another world when you have sex will definitely get them hot and bothered. Pisces is also a water sign and Neptune rules the depths of the ocean, so a great place for sex is in the water — either in the pool, the hot tub or at the beach! Neptune is also the planet that rules substances like alcohol, so don't be afraid to pop open a bottle of bubbly to get this little Fishy ready to roll around in the sack!"
