Kourtney & Scott's Breakup Is 'KUWTK' Material

Even after seasons of arguments and disagreements, Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick's breakup came as something of a surprise, because they've always managed to sort things out. But, this time it seems official, and Kourt & Scott's split will be on Keeping Up With the Kardashians ' 11th (!) season, which is currently filming. At least in the words two producers — Ryan Seacrest, on The Today Show and Mama Kris, to E! Online — who have assured the audience that nothing will be left on the cutting room floor. Everything, including the breakup, will be on the show, at least from Kourtney's perspective. As Seacrest said to Today, "The show is reality, so whatever happens, happens in real time."

However, there is some debate over whether Scott Disick will be in Season 11 of KUWTK . According to TMZ, since Scott is a contracted star of the show, he stands to make four million dollars regardless of whether or not he appears. But, it would be a tragedy for the show to lose Lord Disick, one of its best characters (in as much as the show has characters). And, if they cut him out of the season, it will also neuter the comedy on this show, which has always been about outside observers (of which Scott is always the best) watching this crazy family act in their crazy ways.

That's not to say that Scott isn't also a huge jerk at times. It's no secret that he's struggled with alcohol throughout the seasons. But, while most people like to keep sensitive moments off of television, this couple has never been shy about sharing literally anything — good or bad. Kourtney has given birth on reality TV, just as Scott has been filmed drunkenly punching a mirror. Practically their whole relationship has taken place on TV, so it seems fitting that it should come to an end on reality TV as well. And, there's always the outside chance that this breakup will wind up resolved by the end of the season, because it always seemed like Kourtney and Scott were truly a perfect match.

Now that Caitlyn Jenner has her own show, Kim is still keeping her husband and daughter away from the cameras, and Kendall and Kylie have moved away from home, the show is really only left with Kris, Kim, Kourtney, and Khloe. Therefore, Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick should take center stage in Season 11 of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, and even though the Kardashians will surely side with Kourt, I still think Scott deserves his screen time on KUWTK, because he's truly one of the show's best creations. Only Mason is more entertaining.

A Lord-less KUWTK is a KUWTK no one deserves to see.
