These two handsome fellas are known for playing brothers Sam and Dean Winchester on The CW's Supernatural, but did you know that Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles act like brothers in real life, too? For those who thought these two TV actors were just friendly on set, well... you're wrong. They are so much more than co-stars. Like Sam and Dean, who bonded at infancy and became besties the first time they ganked a supernatural creature, both Padalecki and Ackles have that special bond brothers share. Don't be alarmed — they don't hunt vampires, work with angels, or drink demon blood.
Ever since Supernatural premiered in 2005, Padalecki and Ackles have been super tight. I guess that's what happens when you spend every day for a good chunk of the year side by side, right? Fast forward 11 years and you have one of the strongest relationships to have ever transferred from the small screen to real life. From watching each other fall in love to raising families together to having each other's backs all the time, Ackles and Padalecki are brotherly in more ways than one. Some might say they're even tighter than a lot of actual brothers.

1. When They Were Charitable Together
Soon after Padalecki started Always Keep Fighting, a campaign helping people battling mental illness, Ackles joined the fight. The two even designed a t-shirt together that fans could purchase with all proceeds benefitting To Write Love On Her Arms, a non-profit helping those fighting depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide.
2. When They Were In Each Other's Weddings
That's right, they were groomsmen in each other's weddings, because they're just that close.
3. When They Joked Around On & Off Set
Supernatural fans know how hilarious Padalecki and Ackles are as Sam and Dean. Well, they also have great senses of humor in real life. They can't help but act like brothers when they goof around on and off set. I mean, just check out these Season 10 bloopers.
4. When Jensen Supported Jared
In May 2015, Padalecki suffered from exhaustion, which caused him to leave a Supernatural convention. Like the best friend and brother he is, Ackles supported his BFF in an amazing way. He told fans,
In true Jared fashion, he exhausted himself to the point where he had to tap out. He needed to go home and get some rest and be with his family. He knows that this family is gonna miss him, and I told him, "Please, take care of yourself." We didn’t want him to exhaust himself anymore, so it’s good. As you know, he’s a big guy with a big heart, and he gives a lot of it out. He needed to get some rest, so keep him in your thoughts and send him some wishes.
5. When Their Families Were BFFs
If you didn't know, both Padalecki and Ackles are fathers and have super adorable families. JarPad is a father of two sons, Shepherd and Thomas, with wife Genevieve Padalecki. As for Ackles, he is a dad to daughter Justice Jay, aka "JJ," with wife Danneel Harris Ackles. The two families hang out together all the time and share the sweet moments, like the one above, on Twitter.
6. When They Chilled With Other TV Brothers
At Comic Con 2015, they hung out with Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley, who play Damon and Stefan Salvator, respectively, on The CW's The Vampire Diaries. Basically, all CW brothers are real-life brothers. I mean, Somerhalder and Wesley also designed t-shirts for charity. Need more proof?
7. When Jared Helped Jensen With Twitter
Ackles has admitted from time to time that he isn't very good at the whole social media thing, but, thankfully, Padalecki is there to help him figure out Twitter.
8. When They Dressed Alike
Siblings tend to dress alike, even if it is by mistake. Ackles once explained about himself and Padalecki showing up to an event in similar outfits: "We've been together way too long. That's what it boils down to. That fact that we're wearing the same colored shirt today shows that. He showed up today and I was like, 'Really?'"
9. When They Lived Together
Before they got married, JarPad and Jensen lived together, Buzzfeed reports. "Nine months out of the year, we’re stuck with each other literally 24/7 a week… we’re constantly together," Ackles said. "And even when we’re not actually working together... we always find ourselves choosing to hang out and be together." Padalecki added, "We even lived with each other!"
10. When They Were Involved In A Bar Fight
Just like Sam and Dean will at times, Padalecki and Ackles were involved in a bar fight in Canada. As Ackles told TV Guide in 2007,
There had been this fight at a bar and these guys got kicked out. They were pretty tanked. This one girl sees me walking by and says, "That's the guy," meaning she knew me from the show, but they thought I was some guy she had been fighting with. They started swinging at me and it was an all-out brawl.
Well, Ackles got away, but had to go back for Padalecki:
I got away first, then I turned around and saw three or four guys teaming up on Jared. I was like, "Oh, man!" I ran back in and I was fly-kicking at some kid, hit another guy, grabbed Jared's shirt — of course, I ripped his favorite shirt — and I was yelling "C'mon, let's get out of here!" We were pretty tight after that.
