Let's be honest, the Jenner sisters aren't known for shying away from daring attire, and Wednesday night, the pair remained true to their signature Kardashian/Jenner style. Kendall and Kylie Jenner's ESPY red carpet looks were stunning, but the thing that I love most was how each sister stayed true to her own unique style while rocking the carpet together. The ladies, there to support parent Caitlyn Jenner, were definitely some of the best dressed at the award show in their seriously stylish gowns.
Kylie Jenner has been in the news more than her fair share lately — though many would say that's always the case, but whatever — due to her controversial wearing of cornrows. Talented and brilliant Hunger Games actress Amandla Stenberg criticized Jenner after the reality star's post for being culturally appropriative once it hit the web. I'm glad to see the cornrows appear to be long gone, traded in for tousled waves and an insanely gorgeous gold, sequined gown on the ESPY carpet. The head to town golden gown featured long sleeves and a high neck that could be considered conservative were it not for the fact that the frock hugged the youngest Jenner's body like a glove as she moved down the carpet. Jenner's pale nude lip, eyebrows on fleek, and dramatic lashes were definitely in line with her signature style, and her commitment to what she likes is super cool.
Seriously, this dress is amazingly tailored.
Kendall, unlike her sister, didn't seem interested in brightness at the award show. The successful and stunning model went for a completely different look when hitting the ESPY red carpet. Like her sister, Kendall walked the carpet with controversy on her heels, though of a much different kind. Jenner's received deserved criticism for a Snapchat potentially showing her driving a vehicle with one of her legs hanging out the window. She has responded to the social media post, but it hasn't prevented the outrage. Despite that though, she seems to have brushed it off and looks gorgeous tonight. Her black gown features strategically placed sheer cutouts and a plunging neckline. While their styles tonight are definitely different, Kendall, like her sister, stays true to her signature beauty look rocking long straight locks, and what's with these girls and their crazy amazing eyebrows? Can I get a YoutTube tutorial, anyone?
It's kind of like high fashion Elvira, no?
While both sisters are currently undergoing trial in the court of public opinion, but they haven't let it trip them up in the style department. The sister are clearly close knit, but they make sure that their own styles are represented when they step out together. I'm so happy that they're at the ESPY red carpet to support Caitlyn Jenner, and I'm definitely glad we got to see them showcase their style game.
