Caitlyn Jenner Releases New 'I Am Cait' Promos

Caitlyn Jenner is having the time of her life. That much is clear. The former Olympic athlete, who made headlines in April for announcing that she was going to begin presenting as female, has been teasing her new reality show I Am Cait , which will explore her journey in her new life, for quite some time. Now, Jenner has released new I Am Cait promos, and so far, it looks like the show will be worth the wait.

The video promo shows the 65-year-old whooping it up with friends and family. Getting in touch with her athletic roots, she even takes up a game of tennis. While she looks great in the all-white ensemble, she does discover a new downside to playing sports. "Now I know why girls need a sports bra," she jokes. Even so, Jenner is also shown enjoying her newfound role in the beauty and fashion world, in both the video clip and in a photo promo for the show.

On a more serious note, she also teases a serious conversation with her mother, where she describes the more emotional side of her journey. It seems like the promos do an excellent job of capturing both the excitement, and heavy emotion behind Jenner's experience. And that is a really positive thing, because it puts her in charge of her own narrative — far beyond looking pretty in a photo.

Despite being such a short teaser, it does give a good view of many different aspects of Jenner's new life from her perspective as a transgender woman. From the fun scenes to the more serious ones, the reality star is obviously in the driver's seat here, which is crucially important. After all, if she is in charge of her own story, it allows her to talk honestly and candidly about her new life experiences and frame them however she wishes. And it is a huge step forward to see someone in the trans community use their platform to do so. It's also worthwhile to note that showing these types of scenes to the masses can help normalize trans people's experiences, and help put a face to the name for people who might otherwise be unfamiliar with trans people or issues they face.

But on a lighter note, it certainly does not hurt that Jenner is becoming an expert on beauty supplies. She jokes, "All of a sudden, I am the authority on hair and makeup." And honestly, if you check out the promo photo below for the show, it is not hard to see why.

As can be expected, she totally slays in the look. And you can be sure to see more scenes and outfits like this if you tune into I Am Cait, which premieres on Sunday, July 26, at 9 p.m. EDT on E!.
