7 Zuhair Murad Gowns Fit For The Red Carpet
Paris Couture week is well underway, and I've already fallen in love with all the epic show-stopping designs. From the menswear inspired bridal looks at Chanel to the golden fairytale princess gowns at Elie Saab, I can barely handle all of the fashion-y goodness. On Thursday, the Zuhair Murad Fall 2015 Couture line made its runway debut, and it is destined to be worn by all of fashion's It-girls on the red carpet.
If I had to give a name to the collection, it would be The Starry Night — it's as if Van Gogh's famous moonlit painting came to life in the form of crystal-encrusted dresses. The dark vampy vibe of the designs manifested in deep midnight blue and black hues, cascading chiffon and velvet fabrics, and (my favorite part) bejeweled star-shaped tiaras. It's basically a nightmare dressed like a daydream, per Taylor Swifts' Blank Space.
As I flipped through one magical dress after another, certain celebs immediately came to mind. You There were at least several gowns that I am convinced were made for specific starlets. We're totally going Zuhair Murad all over the next awards season, I am calling it now.
Here are the seven gowns I predict will make an appearance on the red carpet, with the corresponding celebs who should wear them.
1. Selena Gomez
Navy and jewels belong on Gomez.
2. Mila Kunis
The pale lilac color and the flowing silhouette would be perfect on her.
3. Taylor Swift
The mullet dress trend was made for Swift.
4. Kendall Jenner
Jenner is clearly a fan of mesh netting, so I think this navy version complete with a cape would be killer on her.
5. Emma Stone
Stone is the bonafide jumpsuit queen. She would own this red one pice.
6. Jennifer Lopez
J.Lo is notorious for her love of all things sparkly. She is also a huge fan of plunging necklines — this dress was practically made for her.
7. Rihanna
This is pretty much RiRi's Met Gala dress, just in another color.
