Will Kourtney & Scott Get Back Together?

Celebrity breakups are always a bummer, but this one is especially heartbreaking. Monday, news broke that longtime couple Scott Disick and Kourtney Kardashian reportedly split, after almost ten years together and three crazy adorable children. Allegedly, Scott's frequent partying has finally taken enough of a toll on their relationship that Kourtney decided it was time to call it quits, and apparently, Scott has been telling people he's "newly single" while he's out partying. Their breakup is getting super real super fast, since Scott was seen with his ex, Chloe Bartoli, over the Independence Day weekend. Bustle has reached out to the Scott and Kourtney's reps for comment, but has not year heard back. It definitely seems like the news of their split is true, so my next question is this: Will Kourtney and Scott ever get back together?

Even though things are looking bleak right now, I wouldn't be surprised if they did eventually reunite. Scott's battle with substance abuse and his temper seem to have gotten worse over the past couple of years, so as a total outsider to their relationship, there definitely seems to be enough reason for a breakup, especially if Kourtney's trying to protect her kids, Mason, Penelope, and Reign, from his occasionally volatile behavior. If she had to go into Mama Bear Mode for this one, I wouldn't blame her for a minute. But it's still a bummer when a family is separated like this, and since Scott and Kourtney's love has seemed like the real deal, it's totally possible they'll rekindle their love someday.

After all, for all the reasons they're apart, there are just as many reasons to pull them back together, too. Scott obviously loves being a dad to his three kids (even if he wasn't totally on board with a third right away) and the most recent episodes of Keeping Up With The Kardashians would lead me to believe that their unhappiness as a couple is a new thing. I can't see either of them wanting to keep their family divided if there was a chance of patching things up, and even if Scott is trying to cozy up to his ex-girlfriend right now, he might end up realizing that the grass isn't always greener on the other side. People mess up and make the wrong decision all the time. He might change his mind.

And besides, how could a man who (not so long ago) posted photos like this on Instagram not want to get back together with his girlfriend and baby mama?

The ideal situation here? Scott will come home, beg for Kourtney's forgiveness, and decide that for the sake of his family, he's done partying once and for all. They'll get married (or not) and live happily ever after all over again, but for real this time. Or, you know, they'll never get back together again and live separate lives from now on, which is the worst possible scenario. Why do bad things always happen to good people?! And by good people, I mean me (and everyone else who has rooted for these two from the start).

Obviously, none of us know more than what we've seen on KUWTK and on Instagram, so who's to say what's really at play in their relationship? Even so, I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for an eventual reunion. Without Kourtney and Scott as a joined force in this world, is there even a reason to believe in love? No, there is not.
