How Celebs Celebrated The Fourth Of July

by Mallory Carra

Look, the Fourth of July is the best holiday — not only does it involve barbecue and fireworks, but it also falls on a Saturday this year. I think that's more than enough reason to go all out celebrating the birth of the United States. Celebrities are celebrating the Fourth of July in style, posting pics and well-wishes on social media. I mean, this holiday is so big that Taylor Swift started her July Fourth celebration early with a party attended by her ever-growing squad and new beau, Calvin Harris, giving me a serious case of jealous. (I love Harris and swan floats, OK?)

Swift captioned a photo of her and Harris as "Friendly relations between Scotland and America" (Harris is Scottish, FYI), and other stars are showing their patriotism just like the "Bad Blood" singer. American flags, pool parties, and fireworks — you name it, the celebs are on it! Luckily, this Independence Day is a looong weekend for us all, giving everyone some much needed rest and more time for day drinking, grilling some food, lying on the beach, and — if you live in an area that allows it — setting off some of your own fireworks.

Check out how some of your favorite celebs are kicking off the Fourth of July this year.

Taylor Swift And Calvin Harris

Color me so jealous. Does anyone think he serenaded her with his hit song "Summer"? I can dream, can't I?

Chrissy Teigen

Social media's favorite model/personality is all about the red, white, and blue, has a little dog too, and some Captain Morgan to celebrate.

Kendall Jenner

The model is making sure not to show any nip.

Sam Smith

The Brit singer sends his best wishes to us "American [Beauties]." So sweet.

Meghan Trainor

She's got that patriotic spirit!

Joe Jonas

He posted this fun polaroid.

Demi Lovato

You know, just flying around in the private plane and staying "Cool for the Summer" (ahem, it's her new single).

Ryan Reynolds

The Canadian actor tweeted this attempt at redemption.

Jessica Chastain

The Oscar-nominated actress posted this awesome throwback photo of Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Ben Stiller

The Zoolander 2 comedian is spending the American holiday in Italy watching sports. After all, he is busy filming the hilarious sequel in Europe.

Conan O'Brien

The late-night host joked about making his own fireworks.

Hugh Jackman

The Aussie star tweeted a photo of a red, white, and blue cupcake dedicated to his friends in the USA and then one of himself hugging a koala. The patriotism goes both ways.

Sarah Michelle Gellar

The former Buffy the Vampire Slayer star reminds everyone to be thankful for their freedom.

Hillary Clinton

Leave it to Hills to remind us of the true meaning of the day.

Condoleezza Rice

The former U.S. Secretary of State released her gorgeous piano cover of "Amazing Grace," accompanied by violinist Jenny Oaks Baker.

Hope you're having a just as awesome Independence Day!
