Yesterday, we all got quite the view of beloved fashion designer Marc Jacobs. The seriously talented artist posted a naked selfie to his Instagram account that was clearly not meant for our eyes. While there was quite the public backlash and laughter about the incident, Marc Jacobs addressed the nude photo episode in a refreshingly honest way, head held high and no shame in sight.
The internet lit up yesterday after Jacobs posted a photo of his completely bare bum with the caption, "It's yours to try." The photo was clearly meant to be a direct message to another user, and the designer deleted it within moments of posting his naked— but gorgeous— butt. While no one really knows who that photo was intended for, the over 190,000 followers Jacobs has got in on the peep show. The designer has received his fair share of hate and jabs, but despite the embarrassing nature of the incident, he's still all IDGAF.
In a response to the photo, Jacobs said, "Yeah. I accidentally posted a pic of my bare ass and took it down. I was flirting with someone I met on Instagram. Meant to send it by DM. Oops, my mistake. I apologise to anyone it offended. I'm a gay man. I flirt and chat with guys online sometimes. BIG DEAL!”
Basically, Jacobs isn't sorry he was flirting, but he is a bit apologetic that it had to be exposed on social media. Way to go for Jacobs though for making no apologies for flirting. There should no shame in having a little fun when single, and heck, he looks dang good in the photo.
