Paws

Perhaps the most cuddle-worthy mascot on the list, Paws regularly entertains fans at Detroit Tigers games. In fact, he was once sued for being too entertaining, since a fan claimed he sustained an injury from watching Paws too much. Paws also has a very active Twitter, where he congratulates players, and keeps everyone updated on the Tigers in the most upbeat and lovable way.

The Phillie Phanatic

The Phanatic has repsented the Phillies for 35 years, and is beloved in Philadelphia and beyond. Every year, the Phillies coordinate a reading program in local public schools, with the top-reading classroom winning a visit from the Phanatic himself. He also has many favorite foods, including Philly cheesesteaks, scrapple, and tastykakes. The Gorilla

Also known as Go the Gorilla, this mascot has been taking risks far before Bango attempted trampoline dunks. Wally the Green Monster

Wally may be the happiest mascot on this list at the moment, since his Boston Red Sox won the World Series. When the Sox grew out their beards together at the beginning of the season, Wally joined them with his own bushy brunette soup-catcher. In another shocking choice this year, Wally stared at reporters in his first-ever interview...which did not include as much talking as they had hoped.

Wild Wing is the Mighty Ducks fan fiction character we never knew we needed, and he may be one of the scariest on this list. The Famous Chicken

While the San Diego Chicken may not be fluffiest on this list, he was one of the first mascots. With leagues of devoted fans, he paved the way for other mascots with his vaudeville-esque antics. He has never been the official mascot of any San Diego team, but he appears at Padres games regularly. Now, the Chicken is seen as a folk icon and representation of the history of the mascot.
