Arnold Schwarzenegger's Miley Comments Are So Real

Miley Cyrus and Patrick Schwarzenegger may have broken up back in April, but that doesn't mean that there's any hard feelings between the pop star and the Schwarzenegger fam. Even though the two may have called it quits due to Patrick Schwarzenegger's reported infidelity (yikes), his dad had only positive things to say about the "Wrecking Ball" singer and her relationship with his son. Arnold Schwarzenegger talked about Miley Cyrus in an interview with Howard Stern, and he pretty much raved about her, so all dads of sons with ex-girlfriends everywhere, take note.

Speaking to Stern, in an interview that touched on everything from the former governor's own cheating scandal to his secret love child, Schwarzenegger explained that he was not nervous when his son started dating Cyrus.

"When I did meet Miley Cyrus, when she came up to Sun Valley, skiing, during our holidays, I found out that she was a fantastic person," the Governator straight-up gushed. "We had little kids in the house also, my nephew's little kids. She went out every day to buy gifts for them, she played with them, played with her phone and showed them things. And, really, sincerely, like two hours at a time... go out in the snow with them. She was a wonderful person."

This is undoubtedly the singer's genuine persona, a sweet and gentle image that does coincide with the fierce passion she brings to her causes, but may not necessarily fit so well with the same Miley Cyrus who prances around in thong onesies on stage. And that's perfectly OK.

"Then she has this career side, and she has to be a little bit out there, and maybe a little different because she grew up in a music family... I mean, so what?" Schwarzenegger asked rhetorically. "It didn't bother me and I think Patrick had a wonderful experience and had a great relationship, and then the whole thing eventually fell apart."

EXACTLY. Sure, Miley Cyrus may be a little ~wild~ in her career, but homegirl is 22 years old and is busy cultivating her own brand and simultaneously finding herself and who she is — both in her personal life and in her professional life. And the fact that Arnold Schwarzenegger actually gets that and has no problem distinguishing between those two facets of Cyrus... well, that actually makes him pretty kickass. Arnold Schwarzenegger 4 president, y'all.
