Lena Grants Mindy Kaling's Birthday Wish

by Allyson Koerner

As if I needed another reason to adore the amazing friendship between Lena Dunham and Mindy Kaling. If you didn't know, Wednesday was a very special day, aka it was Mindy Kaling's 36th birthday, which is basically like a national holiday — at least for me it is. In addition to giving back to a bunch of charities for her b-day (because Kaling is just that inspiring), one of The Mindy Project's birthday wishes was for Dunham to Dubsmash Tom Hank's "There's no crying in baseball!" speech from A League of Their Own. Well, her wish was granted.

Kaling tweeted on her birthday, "I would also love a dubsmash of @lenadunham doing a portion of @tomhanks iconic 'there's no crying in baseball' speech." Of course, Dunham wanted to give Kaling the best birthday present ever, so on Wednesday night, the 29-year-old shared a Dubsmash of herself doing one of the most famous lines from the hit baseball movie. She also captioned the video as follows: "Your bday wish is my command @mindykaling."

How did the Kaling react? She loved it, of course. She responded to Dunham on Twitter writing, "I could not be happier." The former Office star also added, "I've watched this a million times, thank you so much, angel."

Amazing, right? I don't know about you, but I love tight celebrity BFFs. On more than one occasion, these women have proven they are two of the most amazing besties. From Kaling sporting Dunham by wearing the Planned Parenthood t-shirt she designed on her birthday to the actresses fighting sexism to that Dunham interviewing Kaling, they've showcased time and time again that not only are they the best of friends, but that they're two women changing the world — one Dubsmash at a time.
