The Donald Is Doing Pretty Well In The Polls...
I had more than a little chuckle when I learned that Donald Trump is running for president. The man affectionately referred to as The Donald, who has no political experience but quite the reality TV resume, announced earlier in June that his hat was in the ring, and officially launched his campaign on June 16. And I'm not the only one who finds his bid to be... absurd. Many took to Twitter to have a few jokes at Trump's expense, and Stephen Colbert did an hilarious impression of Trump (the fodder was too good for Colbert to wait the three months until his new show starts).
Adding to the bizarre spectacle that is Donald "You're Fired" Trump running for the highest office in the United States, is the fact that he's not totally sucking in the polls. I know, I know, I'm just as surprised as you are. But the numbers don't lie, and a poll released Tuesday shows that, at least in New Hampshire, Trump is in a very close second place for the Republican party. Jeb Bush is first in the poll with 14 percent of Republican voter support, and Trump trails only three percentage points behind with 11 percent. It's weird, right?! The candidate in third place is Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker with 8 percent. So, yes. Omarosa's nemesis walloped an actual Governor in this poll.
I hardly know what to make of this strangeness. Apparently plenty of Republicans really think that Trump could make a good president? It's a lot to take in, for sure. But you're not alone. Let's wander through the all of the mixed emotions that arise when considering that Donald Trump is a popular candidate for president.
Wait. What?
Like. I just don't understand...

Let me go splash some water on my face, clean my glasses, then revisit this issue.
Okay. Let Me Double Check.
Ahhhhh, it's all true! IT'S ALL TRUE!
I mean... Would He Really Be The Worst President?
It would make for a very interesting four years. And think of all the genius we'd get from SNL, John Oliver, and Stephen Colbert. Endless opportunities for humor.
Nooooo That's Exactly What He Wants Me To Think!
What on earth is happening, here?
Oh. My. God. Donald Trump Really Could Be The Last Repub standing...
What does this mean about American politics...?
Heh Heh. He Could Be The Last Repub Standing.
Trump against Clinton? Don't make me laugh.
