Cookie Lyon On 'Lip Sync Battle' Would Be Amazing

by Allyson Koerner

Did you hear the fan-freaking-tastic news? The star-studded line-up for the second half of Lip Sync Battle Season 1 has been announced and it's even better than I could've imagined — mainly because of Empire star Taraji P. Henson. That's right, the actress known for bringing Cookie Lyon to life will face off against her Empire co-star Terrence Howard, who plays Lucious Lyon. As I'm sure you can imagine, their lip sync battle is going to be amazing. Not only does Henson bring Mary J. Blige on stage, but she also dresses up as who I assume is Madonna from "Material Girl." As for Howard, well, he really gets into character while singing The Commodores' "Brick House."

Other stars who will appear throughout Season 1B include Alison Brie, Will Arnett, Justin Bieber, Deion Sanders, Andy Cohen (YES!), Willie Geist, Victoria Justice, Gregg Sulkin, Abbi Jacobsen, Ilana Glazer, Iggy Azalea, and Nick Young. Of course, and most importantly, Henson and Howard will close out the first season by delivering the final lip sync battle during the Season 1 two-part finale on August 20.

With that said, does anyone else wish they could see Cookie Lyon star on Lip Sync Battle? As excited as I am for Henson to strut her stuff and work it on stage, I would also absolutely love to see Cookie do the same.

Maybe one day that will happen, but, until then, here's what it would probably be like if Cookie Lyon showed up on Spike's Lip Sync Battle.

She'd Probably Lip Sync A Lyon Original

When in doubt, always promote your family, your music, and your empire.

Her Fierceness Would Be On Another Level

Duh. When is it not?

Her Dance Skills Would Be On Point

Get it, Cookie.

She'd Wear The Best Costume

When doesn't Cookie have the best outfits?

Her Competition Would Probably Be Scared

Even though it's just a fun lip sync battle, Cookie would go above and beyond to do her best — and win. Her competition better watch out, especially if it's Boo Boo Kitty.

She'd Win, Because, Duh

Cookie for the win — all the time.

Now, let's hope for a surprise Cookie cameo come August 20.
