11 Celebrity Cameos In HBO's '7 Days In Hell'
I guess after Will Ferrell & Kristen Wiig's Lifetime Movie, A Deadly Adoption, movie parodies all are the rage right now. Following in the footsteps of his SNL co-stars, Andy Samberg will star alongside Kit Harington in the brand new HBO mockumentary, 7 Days in Hell , because, no one does parodies like this Lonely Island star. Although the movie does not premiere until July 11, HBO released the movie's first full trailer on YouTube on Monday. And, if the hilarious characters and the countless celebrity cameos are any indication of the movie as a whole, its sure to be comedy gold.
Through a documentary-style lens, the story follows the fictional rivalry between two tennis stars, Aaron Williams and Charles Lloyd Poole, and their 2004 match that lasted a miserable seven days. And, if these two actors battling it out wasn't enough to grab your attention, the movie also showcases a long list of celebrities. Just in this trailer alone, we get all kinds of special appearances, ranging from Fred Armisen faking a British accent to Lena Dunham in a mullet wig, plus so many more. Let's recap all the cameos, because we are sure you missed some.
But first, here's the full trailer:
Mary Steenburgen
This Academy Award-winning actress will star as none other than Harington's mother.
Lena Dunham
IMBd lists Dunham as Jordache Executive, but, by her matching hair in the trailer, it seems more like she is Samberg's stylist.
Will Forte
This SNL alum is practically transformed as he plays a tennis historian, clearly.
Howie Mandel
Definitely one of the most surprising appearances, as Mandel's hair and makeup make him almost unrecognizable.
Fred Armisen
This movie sure loves its SNL cast members, doesn't it? Armisen plays another tennis historian, expect he's British.
Serena Williams
It wouldn't be a movie about tennis without one of the Williams sisters. Naturally, Serena plays herself as well as Samberg's adoptive sister. Genius!
June Squibb
Who better to play the Queen of England in a comedy than Squibb?
John McEnroe
As one of the greatest tennis players of all time, it's a no brainer that McEnroe would make a special appearance in this movie.
David Copperfield
What magic will this illusionist bring to the tennis court? Guess we'll just have to wait and find out.
Soledad O'Brien
This CNN anchor plays herself as she interviews a perplexed Harington.
Chris Evert
Former World No. 1 professional tennis player plays herself as she comments on the seven day long game. Tennis enthusiasts and Game of Thrones fans who are still in mourning will absolutely have to check out this film when it comes to HBO. Until then, feel free to watch the trailer as many times as you need to. No one is going to judge you, especially not me.
