Although Fashion Police will never be the same, there is one person who I think will be a perfect fit to fill in the big shoes of powerhouse Joan Rivers. Her daughter, Melissa Rivers has just been announced as Fashion Police's new co-host, and I am literally so happy about it. From her charisma, charm, and of course fashion sense, Melissa will truly give Fashion Police just the spark they need.
Fashion Police will be back on August 31 and according to Variety, Giuliana Rancic and Brad Goreski will also join Melissa for this season. The new episodes will kick off after the MTV Video Music Awards.
E!'s Executive VP of Programming and Development Jeff Olde explained, "As an executive producer since the beginning, Melissa helped shape Fashion Police into an iconic TV series that couples fashion with comedy. We are pleased to now also feature Melissa in front of the ‘Fashion Police’ cameras, as she joins returning panelists Giuliana and Brad."
Melissa also stated, "I’m very excited to be given the opportunity to continue to work with my E! and Fashion Police family."
