Tyra Banks Keeps It Real With Makeup-Free Selfie

If there's one person in the fashion and beauty world we can trust to keep it real, it's Tyra. The America's Next Top Model creator and supermodel is never shy about the process it takes to look runway ready, and now Tyra Banks' makeup-free selfie is proving (again) that she is the realest.

"You know how people say #nofilter but you know there's a freakin' filter on their pic? Or maybe there's a smidge of retouching going on but they're lying and saying it's all raw & real?" Banks captioned on her morning selfie. Yes, girl. We know. Every now and then, we catch celebs getting a little crazy with the FaceTune, going as far as to Photoshop selfies to make body parts look larger, bigger, and definitely smoother. Tyra ain't havin' it, y'all.

In her no-makeup selfie caption, she admits to being tempted to cover flaws, saying, "I wanted to smooth out my dark circles so badly!!!" she wrote. "But I was like, 'Naw, Ty. Show 'em the REAL you.' So...here I am. Raw. And there YOU are...looking at me, studying this picture."

Tyra looks, honestly, like we all do without the power of foundation and fine lighting: she has blotchy skin, red spots, and under eye circles. And guess what? Without all the makeup on, it's still clear to me how she became an icon: she is gorgeous. Those green eyes!

Yet, if you have shade to throw her way, she has something to say about that, too. "Maybe you're thinking, 'Whoa, she looks ROUGH,'" Banks captioned. "And if you are, great! You deserve to see the REAL me. The REALLY real me. #RawAndReal." Yes, girl!

Banks isn't the only celeb to jump on the makeup-free selfie bandwagon. Celebs like Kim Kardashian, Lorde, Laverne Cox, and Lady Gaga have all been unafraid to share themselves sans makeup, and we love them all the more for it.
