5 Beauty Tips From Brow Expert Anastasia Soare
If you've heard the turn of phrase "eyebrows on fleek," Anastasia Soare pretty much made that happen. Growing up during the communism regime in Romania, Soare wasn’t even allowed to wear eyeliner until 18 years old. Now, at 57, the founder of Anastasia Beverly Hills shares her beauty secrets in a recent interview with Into the Gloss.
Making her way over to the United States turned out to be a major career move for the brow and beauty specialist. Without speaking a word of English, Soare was hired as an aesthetician in a Beverly Hills beauty salon where she waited on celebrities such as Cindy Crawford and Naomi Campbell. Long and behold all it took was one question for Soare to become the beauty expert we know her to be today: Do you want me to do your eyebrows?
“My boss refused to allow me to do clients’ eyebrows,“ Soare tells Into the Gloss, “so I decided to rent a room at a salon and start my own business. Everybody thought I was out of my mind. Number one, I don’t speak the language. Number two, there are people who are born in this country that don’t have their own businesses, and I here I try to open my own business. 'I don’t care,' I told myself. I have to do it.'"
Becoming a beauty expert was no easy feat for Soare. She is the perfect example of how far hard work and dedication can take you. Starting out, she was putting in 13 hours seven days a week at her salon, but was well rewarded in 1994 when her eyebrow techniques were featured in Vogue alongside a review of Kevin Aucoin's Making Faces. She has since appeared on programs such as The Oprah Winfrey Show, The Meredith Vieira Show and My Fox LA and has worked with celebs including Jennifer Lopez, Lady Gaga and Kim Kardashian.
Thanks to her recent interview with Into the Gloss, we've highlighted 5 key beauty secrets from Anastasia Soare's daily routine to give you a celebrity look.

"Because it’s good to surprise the skin," Soare told ITG.
2. Use Oil-Based Makeup Removers

4. Take Your Makeup Off and Wash Your Face
Cellular Refining Lotion, $100.00, laprairie.com
"The best advice I could give to anyone is don’t ever go to bed without taking off your makeup. You’ll ruin your skin."
