Susan From 'Secrets And Wives' Is A Boss
I don't know if you've heard, but Susan Doneson from Secrets and Wives has a job. I'm only teasing, because of course you know that she's employed. She never misses an opportunity to tell her cast mates, or the viewers at home, how busy she is, because she's working all the time. Plus, she thinks everyone else should get a job too, which has actually gotten her in a lot of trouble with Liza Sandler, and will probably continue to be a major source of drama this season.
We get it, we get it. Job, good. Moping about having to sell your house, bad.
All kidding aside, on a show like Secrets and Wives where most of the ladies are more preoccupied with smoothing out their wrinkles, planning weekend trips to the Hamptons, and throwing pre-prom parties, it's actually refreshing and all-around wonderful that Susan is so proud of her career that she wants to shout it from the rooftops. We need more reality stars like her.
But, still, the constant mention that she has a job does get annoying. I mean, lots of people have jobs and lead busy lives, after all. It's not like Susan is all that special in that regard.
Unless, of course, Susan really does do something amazing for a living. I just want to know already, and it better be something good to live up to all of this hype.
Well, I am happy to report that Susan is not doing too shabby. Not too shabby at all.
Susan actually briefly mentioned her occupation in the first episode of Secrets and Wives, saying that she worked for a company that sold clothing to mass merchants, specialty chains, and department stores. Secrets and Wives even showed her moving around some apparel, so it seems like it's a pretty hands-on job.
A little more digging on the Internet reveals that company Susan works for is the New York-based Golden Touch Imports, which certainly sounds fancy. Susan is a senior sales executive and has been with the company for more than 11 years, according to her LinkedIn profile. Some of the duties of that role include managing staff members, finding and taking advantage of sales opportunities, and, of course, selling clothing. Susan's net worth is a reported $2 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.
Before joining Golden Touch Imports, Susan graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in business. She then went on to work in marketing for American Express and then managed a clothing store.
Clearly, fashion is Susan's passion, so it seems like the job she has now is a perfect fit for her. However, now that she's on a reality show, the next step is obviously launching her own clothing line that she can constantly shill on Secrets and Wives like every other Bravo-lebrity does on their respective shows.
Susan could also hire her cast mates to work for her since she's always talking about how they should all get jobs anyway. It's time to put your money where your mouth is, girl.
