Has it really been a year? Yes, it has! America's Sweetheart Sandra Bullock returned to the red carpet after a year-long absence and it was quite a triumphant fashion comeback for the insanely likable actress. Bullock hit the London premiere of Minions in a metallic and black, baroque paisley mini dress by Stella McCartney, paired with strappy black heels.
The ensemble will easily land the actress on "Best of 2015" lists at the end of the year. It was that good!
Bullock may have been absent from Hollywood's glam events for a year, so she pretty much had to swoop in and make a memorable return. Bullock's red carpet style has always evolved, but she has hit her stride since nabbing her Oscar in 2010.
What made the dress so memorable, besides the confidence with which Bullock wore it, is the fact that it had multiple dimensions, thanks the black underskirt and the peplum waist of the top layer.
Bullock's stick-straight, glossy strands served to add another element of glamour. The overall presentation seemed effortless, and Bullock gave off the vibe that she absolutely loved wearing this Stella creation. Honestly, she should love wearing it, since it was so flattering on her shape. Like did Stella McCartney design this with Bullock in mind?
Let's have a look at the frock from all angles.
Sexy Sandy got sassy with one of those equally sassy yellow creatures. But from the back and side, you can appreciate the volume and the shape.
You can see the two-layer construction here, which makes it look like two entirely different dresses from the back and the front.
So many dimensions... and how about Bullock rocking that leggy pose?
I can't think of a better accessory than the Minions, can you? They are too damn cute.
The dress has pockets? Really? It keeps getting better.
The print is way pretty without being loud and Bullock's ombre strands are so natural, like they were the work of the sun.
The asymmetry of the hem is unexpected, too.
Dayum, she is gorgeous, ain't she? She will be 51 next month and she looks better now than she did when she first burst on the scene in the '90s. This dress is one I'd want to wear to a wedding or some other formal event.
