Seeing an ex even years after a break-up can be a hard situation to get through — so I'm pretty jealous that Sarah Silverman and Jimmy Kimmel are somehow able to do it with seemingly the ease of that one Gwen Stefani song about being "cool" with your ex after a majorly painful break-up. (Are they just better people than I am? Does all their money dull the pain of a romance expired?) Case-in-point: Last night, Sarah Silverman appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to promote her upcoming HBO special, We Are Miracles. She, naturally, took the opportunity to return some of Kimmel's old things to him from when they were dating, like his old socks, toothbrush, and a larger-sized pair of jeans.
Kimmel and Silverman dated for five years before ultimately breaking up in 2008. They've both, of course, moved on since the split — Kimmel just got married to Molly McNearney this past summer, and Silverman has been dating comedian Kyle Dunnigan since 2011. The former couple have even hung out before: They were photographed together (along with McNearney) in June of this year at an awards show, and Silverman said a couple of years after their break-up that she would always love him. So, it doesn't seem like there's any bad blood here.
The clip is definitely worth a watch: In addition to bringing back Kimmel's "old stuff," Silverman also brings a collage of Kimmel's face, made from "all the heads I cut out of our pictures together." No bad blood indeed.
