All you That's So Raven fans out there better hold onto your butts, because Raven-Symoné is now a permanent co-host on The View . This high-profile job was a long time in coming for the former Disney star, if we have to be honest. She'll be sitting beside Whoopi Goldberg, Nicolle Wallace, and Rosie Perez, with a fifth and final co-host being announced sometime before the end of the summer. As exciting as this news is for the 29-year-old, it's not completely out of the blue. Raven-Symoné has guest-hosted 37 times, so daily watchers of The View saw this coming a mile away.
It's a very logical choice for the network, as Disney (who owns ABC, the channel The View airs on) has worked with Raven-Symoné before, so they have faith in her work ethic and ability to pull in younger viewers. However, that doesn't make our girl any less excited about it:
The Disney Company has made another one of my dreams come true! Being a part of 'The View’ family will be a wonderful growing experience for me. The cast and crew are warm and welcoming and has made the transition into daytime talk easier. I have a lot to learn within this new arena, but being the apprentice of these spectacular women will only make me a better person and talk show host.
