Housewives. From Different Cities. Hanging Out.
I always wonder how they cast the women for the Real Housewives series. A lot of them are related or go back 20 years or whatever, and that makes sense if they're living in the same city. But every now and then the Real Housewives universe implodes and women from different cities are spotted together hanging out. Umm what, they know each other? How is it possible for Real Housewives from different series to know each other? And why isn't there some sort of all star vacation special airing on Bravo?! I would love to these seemingly random connections play out on television instead of through Instagram posts that pop up every once in a while.
I am so thrown off by these random Housewives friendships, but at the same time I am extremely intrigued. How do these ladies know each other? Was it before or after they became a part of the reality TV franchise? Are they friends or frenemies? I am chock full of questions and I want to get other fans on the same page as me. So, if you don't know who's hanging out, I am here to keep you informed. Let's explore the cross-franchise friendships between the ladies of Real Housewives.
Bethenny Frankel & Kyle Richards
Bethenny is a part of the New York City franchise and Kyle is from Beverly Hills, so this seems like the most random long distance friendship, but actually, it goes way back. Bethenny was trying to make it in California as an actress and she ended up working for Kyle's sister Kathy Hilton as an assistant. This means that aside from babysitting Paris Hilton, she also ended up befriending Kyle in the process.
Teresa Giudice & NeNe Leakes
I really find it hard to believe that these two actually get along. They both have such big personalities and have been completely outcast by their respective Real Housewives cast mates, so I'm surprised that they are friends. But then again, I guess they have a lot of unique things in common. And apparently the two have a close relationship through their Bravo connections. Teresa saw NeNe's show on Broadway and the RHOA star even told Andy Cohen that she wanted to visit the Jersey housewife in jail.
Brandi Glanville & Kristen Taekman
These two really seem like a match out of nowhere. Brandi is so notoriously wild and outspoken and Kristen is pretty agreeable and mild mannered. Nevertheless, these two have had a friendship for a long time. They even served as bridesmaids in each other's weddings. So, of course, Brandi recommended Kristen join Real Housewives. I'm going to chalk this one up to a case of opposites attract.
It's weird to think that these ladies have jumped outside the bounds of their respective cities to form friendships with other Real Housewives. Don't get me wrong, I like it and I'm all for it. It just throws me off a little bit since I'm used to viewing the women within the confines of their respective television shows. I am just dying to see these friendships play out for the cameras. If there's ever some sort of cross-cities Real Housewives vacation special, you heard it here first and I want credit for it!
