Victoria's Secret Fashion Show Models Looked Like Bizarro Disney Characters On the Runway
Wednesday night was the 2013 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, you know, the one that the models admit to starving themselves for so they can best show-off jewel encrusted bras that no real woman will ever own. We could talk about how it adds to the ridiculous standards of beauty placed on women, or the objectification of the models, but that's no fun.
Instead, let's stick to what is technically supposed to be the focus of the show — the fashion. Some of the bras, underwear and random accessories seemed very familiar, and we've figured out why. Between the clothes and styling, some of the Victoria's Secret Angels looked just like some of our favorite pop culture characters. Here are some of the best.
'Tarzan'
Check out the leopard print mixed with the untamed hair. She may have been going for rock star, but it came out Tarzan.
A Modern Spice Girl
If The Spice Girls were still active, which let's be honest they really should be, this is probably what Ginger would wear. Also, why exactly was Taylor Swift chosen to perform? Do they not know who watches this thing?
Yzma from 'The Emperor's New Groove'
Seriously, identical.
Gary from 'Spongebob Squarepants'
I don't know what that blue swirly stuff is supposed to be, but it looks a lot like Gary's snail shell.
Beetlejuice and/or Robin Thicke at the VMAs
Yes, it's checkerboard and not stripes, but the flashy black and white bodysuit just reminds us of Robin Thicke at the VMAs, who reminded us of Beetlejuice.
Pocahontas
She can wear the outfit, but can she paint with all the colors of the wind?
The Weeping Willow from 'Pocahontas'
Sorry, but all that fringe makes those wings look more like tree branches.
Kim Kardashian
Just take away the gloves that make this model look like she just finished cleaning a toilet, and I'm pretty sure Kardashian has worn this exact outfit.
The Abominable Snowman
The theme is seasonally appropriate, but she'd probably freeze.
The Wicked Witch of the West
The green and black mixed with the headwear? Hide any red shoes when she looks your way.
Zazu, the Bird from 'The Lion King'
I'm actually concerned about where those feathers came from...
Everyone from Every Mafia Movie Ever
She has endless doppelgangers. Don Corleone, Luca Brasi, Tommy DeVito, Sonny LoSpecchio, Jimmy Crimmy, okay I made that last one up but you get the point.
Patrick Bateman, aka the 'American Psycho'
We all know what that clear coat is for, just ask Scott Disick.
Miley Cyrus in 2-3 Weeks
Anyone want to start a bet of when Cyrus will be spotted in this exact outfit? I give it two weeks.
