There's no question that the Pretty Little Liars Season 6 premiere gave fans plenty to think about. Not only did the Liars manage to escape Charles' lair, but it was also revealed that Sara Harvey has been alive this whole time and served as A's very first prisoner. (Though, given this show's penchant for fake-outs, I wouldn't start immediately trusting her just yet.) But these were far from the only topics that had people talking by the end of this action-packed hour. Like those heartwarming reunions between some of our favorite PLL couples, which gave Team Ezria fans some much-needed hope. But does their romantic embrace necessarily mean that Aria and Ezra are getting back together again or were they simply caught up in the heat of the moment?
Right now it's a little too early to know for sure, but I'm willing to bet that even if they don't officially go back to labeling themselves as a full-on couple, that this traumatic experience will help bring them closer to that inevitable goal. I. Marlene King herself recently referred to Aria and Ezra as being "soul mates" in an exclusive behind-the-scenes featurette from Entertainment Tonight. "Even when they're not together, they're soulmates. And sometimes it's hard for the audience to understand because they want them to be together all the time." So if you've got the show's creator on your side, odds are your 'ship is pretty much unsinkable.
Of course, that's not to say that these two will be without their fair share of problems. (You know, aside from A's constant harassment.) These two broke up for a reason and while I doubt their issues aren't going to just go away, many life and death situations have been known to bring people closer together. Aria may now realize that life is too short and she'd much rather spend it with Ezra, who — despite his creepy antics at times — worked very hard to help rescue her from Charles' clutches.
However, just like with anything else on this show, there's bound to be some repercussions that follow in the wake of this potential reunion. Even if Charles is not Andrew (which, let's face it, he's probably not since it'd be way too obvious), I'm sure he knows all about the kiss Andrew and Aria shared last season. What are the odds that Ezra will eventually find out this little piece of information?
Aria was by no means in the wrong here, but no guy likes to learn that the woman he loves was locking lips with someone else. Charles has proven to be a master manipulator, so I'm sure he'll find a way to use this against them. But that's a worry for another day. In the meantime, we should just sit back, relax, and enjoy watching these two lovebirds reconnect all over again. Team Ezria is making a comeback, y'all!
