Zendaya Speaks Up For Being Makeup-Free

It takes courage to stand up to others for things that you believe in, and even more courage to do that to millions of people that have a hand in your professional career. But the way Zendaya stood up for being makeup-free, proved that she isn't afraid of anything. This isn't the first time the 18-year-old has stirred the pot in the positive direction, which only adds to her professional ability to speak truth. My only thought is, why do people keep coming for her, when we all know she's going to respond with a swiftness?

If you take a look through Zendaya's Insta, it'll quickly become clear that she loves herself, in all forms, from made up to dressed down. And I'm talking about that good self-love that we all should be better at maintaining. So when the trolls of the internet wanted to talk bad about her (and any other woman that wants to be makeup-free), Zendaya had to speak up. In a fast-spoken, but well-thought out Insta video, she explains exactly why it shouldn't matter what a girl has on her face.

"Not trying to have a preach moment," Zendaya said, "but it should not be a phenomenon if a girl decides to, or not to, wear makeup. If you want to beat that face down, then beat it down. If you want to go natural, then go natural. Do you, booboo. Be happy."

Once again, Zendaya steps in and takes control of a situation, in the most graceful way possible. Instead of making a scene and getting dirty, she presented the haters with some truth. And I couldn't be more behind her. I go makeup-free 89 percent of the time, and think that every woman should feel comfortable doing the same, if they choose. But I definitely don't think I would've responded with such a graceful clap back, so 10 out of 10 for that.
