Support for Caitlyn Jenner Is Overwhelming
If you haven't seen Caitlyn Jenner — formerly known as Bruce Jenner — on the cover of Vanity Fair, prepare to die (in the best possible way). She is seriously gorgeous. The reality star, who appeared on the July cover after revealing she was planning to live her life openly as a transgender woman, was photographed by the legendary Annie Leibovitz. And what's just as exciting, is that Jenner spoke candidly to Buzz Bissinger, a Pulitzer-prize winning contributing editor and the author of the awesome book Friday Night Lights. You just know this is going to be one hell of an interview. VF published a snippet of what Caitlyn Jenner had to say about her transition and if this quote is any indication, the article is going to be an honest-to-goodness tearjerker: "If I was lying on my deathbed and I had kept this secret and had never ever did anything about it, I would be lying there saying, 'You just blew your entire life.'"
Powerful words. The magazine doesn't hit newsstands until June 9, but the image of Jenner baring herself in this spectacular bustier says everything we need to know: this is going to be a no-holds-barred account of her old and new lives. Without further ado, here's Caitlyn:
As you can imagine, people are buzzing with excitement about Jenner on Twitter. The hashtag #CaitlynJenner quickly surpassed #KimKardashian — who confirmed on Sunday night that she is expecting her second child — as the number one trending topic on Monday.
From praising Jenner for her courage to complimenting her extraordinary beauty, these fans posted heartwarming tributes to the icon — and I hope she reads them all and feels this outpouring of love and support.
