When Is Kim Kardashian's Second Baby Due?
Kim Kardashian is pregnant with her second baby — finally! But when is Kim Kardashian's due date? As revealed in a teaser leading up to Sunday’s mid-season finale of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, the reality TV star and wife of Kanye West (maybe you've heard of him?) are finally expecting their second child, after publicly struggling to conceive for quite some time. This journey has been documented during Season 10 of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, and as we close out this half of the season, it looks like the world's most famous couple are finally getting their wish. But when exactly are they, like, literally getting their wish?
(Update June 1: Kim Kardashian's rep released a statement to Just Jared confirming that Kim is due at the end of this year: "Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West are expecting their second child, due at the end of this year. They are overjoyed and looking forward to his/her arrival."
(Update June 3: A source who spoke with E! News says Kardashian is due in December.)
All guesses as to when the West family will expand from three to four are, of course, largely speculative at this point. According to rumors, Kim was passing the 12-week mark earlier in May. (12 weeks is widely considered to be the benchmark in a pregnancy after which the likelihood of miscarriage significantly drops; many couples wait until at least this point before sharing the big news with family and friends.) So let's say that estimate was, ya know, not entirely off-base: That would put Kim's date of conception around mid-February, meaning her due date would fall in the first half of November. (Just in time for Fall sweeps? I see you, Kris Jenner. I see you.)
But, clearly, we really have no idea. As much as the Kardashians tend to let us deep into their world (like, too deep sometimes), they have stopped just short of displaying actual copies of their paperwork from doctors' offices onscreen during KUWTK. But no matter when the exact due date is, I'm sure we'll get to see every gloriously over-shared moment of Kim's highly anticipated second pregnancy on TV.
The unavoidable guessing game that the media and fans will be playing as we get closer to Kardashian's due date (already not sorry for participating in that) will likely remain just that—a guessing game. While the Kardashian/Jenner family is notoriously revelatory with even the most intimate details of their personal lives, laying bare everything from butt x-rays to sisterly bikini waxes, Kim and Kanye have been equally guarded and calculated in controlling exactly how much and to what degree their personal life within their own family gets shared to the media. Which is to say, when we do find out when this baby is due, Kim and Kanye will likely be completely in control of when and how we find out. And honestly, do we really want it any other way?
