It's Time To Get Excited For 'Teen Wolf' Season 5
Okay, Teen Wolf fans, the wait is almost over. It's been nine months since Season 4B ended with Derek evolving into a full-on dog, Peter Hale getting locked up in Eichen House, Chris Argent running off with his fellow Mexican hunter family to find now were-jaguar Kate, and the rest of our band of merry supernatural (and not-so-supernatural) creatures venturing back to Beacon Hills after their Berserker-filled adventure. We've been left with so many questions and we've been waiting eagerly for Season 5 to arrive to (hopefully) provide us with answers, and now, Teen Wolf Season 5 officially has a release date!
Mark your calendars, y'all, because MTV is set to release a special two-part season premiere, starting on Monday, June 29 at 10 p.m., with the second part airing Tuesday, June 20 at 9 p.m. If the official synopsis is to be believed, we're in for some serious drama this time around:
On the eve of Senior Year, Scott and his friends find themselves facing the possibility of a future without each other, a next phase of their lives that might take them in different directions despite their best intentions. Little do they know that outside forces are already plotting to break the pack apart long before they ever see graduation. New villains that use a combination of science and the supernatural for a malevolent and mysterious purpose that will eventually pit Scott and his friends against their greatest enemy yet.
"New villains that use a combination of science and the supernatural"? Methinks we've got some Bill Nye the Science Guy stuff to get ready for this season (or at the very least, some Jimmy Neutron shenanigans). And the introduction of this new adversary isn't all there is to get excited about. In fact, here are seven reasons you should all be looking forward to Teen Wolf Season 5.
We Might Finally Find Out What Deputy Parrish Is
And I mean other than a glorious hunk — we already know that about him. For those of you who don't remember, Deputy Parrish was listed on last season's dead pool, and he survived being set on fire and essentially blown up in his cop car. Like, without a scratch. He doesn't seem to be a werewolf, and it seems that nobody, Parrish included, is entirely clear on what he is. I'm pretty excited to find out. Also, if he and Lydia don't get together at some point in Season 5 then I will be so disappointed.
More Stiles. So Much More Stiles.
I would be lying if I said that Dylan O'Brien isn't one of the main reasons I continue to watch this show. He has grown from being the best form of comic relief in Season 1 to being one of my favorite actors, and if the past couple of seasons were any indication, he's going to be amazing this time around.
Pretty Little Liars Fans Are In For A Fun Surprise
Guys, remember when Cody Christian (who plays Mike Montgomery on PLL ) got super ripped and pretty much the entire Internet had a panic attack about it? Well, it turns out it was because he's joining the Teen Wolf crew this season! According to Hollywood Life, he'll be arriving in Beacon Hills as Theo, "a lone wolf who comes to Beacon Hill in search of a pack. He’s described as secretive, athletic and charming, and while he appears to be new to the town, he has a complicated past with it." Sounds ominous and probably very sexually appealing to the eye!
Tyler Posey Will Have More Time To Shine Now That Tyler Hoechlin Is Out Of The Picture
OK, I'll admit that when I first found out that Tyler Hoechlin was no longer slotted as a regular cast member on Teen Wolf, I was horrified. Whatever will we do without Derek and his glorious, brooding, often shirtless self? The silver lining here is that we'll really get to see Tyler Posey shine as the lone Tyler, and his character, Scott, will finally have the chance to come into his own as the True Alpha from out of his mentor's shadow.
We'll Find Out Who/What/Where The Desert Wolf Is
We know that the Desert Wolf is Malia's mom, but we don't know anything about her other than that except for the fact that Peter Hale knows who she is and was going to reveal her identity to Malia if she killed Kate Argent for him. Or something like that. Honestly, Teen Wolf Season 4 was really complicated and I was still kind of reeling from nogitsune-possessed Stiles from Season 3.
Maybe Isaac Will Come Back?
OK, probably not, but a girl can dream, right?
The Trailer Looks Absolutely Nuts
GUYS I'M SO EXCITED THAT I'M PROFUSELY SWEATING #NOJUDGMENTZONE.
There you have it. If you're not counting down the days until June 29, then you're doing it wrong.
