Mindy Kaling's Pastel Outfit Slays

Pastel shades don't work on my absurdly pale complexion, which is why I'm so envious of Mindy Kaling's outfit at the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic, which took place on Saturday, May 30th at Liberty State Park in Jersey City. The author, actress, and all-around funny woman sported a brightly colored, geometric print sundress that is almost as to-die-for gorgeous as Kaling herself. I love every single thing about this outfit and if I looked even remotely okay in shades such as light yellow, I'd be scrambling to snap her dress up for myself.

Kaling opted for a sunny summer frock with exposed shoulders and a ruffled neckline that continued into a sort of cap sleeve with a braided belt at the waist. She coupled the dress with chunky white sandals that sort of straddle the line between being cool-ugly and just plain cool (that was a compliment, I swear). Kaling's new sleek bob and berry colored lipstick provided the perfect finishing touches on the look, as well as a brown leather bag with gold hardware.

Better, even, than her stellar outfit, is the Instgram snap she posted in which she poses with David Duchovny, captured simply "Bae #thatDavidDuhovnyLife." Mindy Kaling is clearly living her best life.
