Nicole Richie Looks Fab In Spring Layers

From pink hair to bold prints, Nicole Richie is never one to shy away from a trend, and that's what makes her such a style icon. Stepping onto the chilly streets of Los Angeles, Ritchie rocked some spring layers and it made for one on-point look.

Weather is unpredictable, but Richie seems to have solved the problem for fashionistas everywhere by doing some simple warm-weather layering. Known as more of a fall trend, the layered look actually made for the perfect way to take on a chillier spring day. Richie put together a combination of pieces that resulted in a balanced transitional, spring to summer, outfit.

Richie showed that opposite seasons attract in her black and white dress and turtle neck combo. The star displayed some classic style in a blazer that she layered over a black turtleneck and a bright white summer dress. The look was so perfectly put together that I can't imagine why someone didn't think of this sooner.

Richie's pink hair provided just the right pop of color for this mostly black and white look, and her shiny loafers brought some of the star's quirky personality to the mix. With plenty more chilly nights on the way, I'll bet that we'll be seeing a lot more of this trend.

Summery layering is so easy to pull off that it can be done with almost any dress that's hanging in your closet. Just grab a classic blazer and you're halfway to a Richie-inspired outfit. Pair with a statement shoe to show a little more personality or opt for a sandal to keep the summer vibe alive.
