Sometimes when celebrity couples break up, fans' hearts are shattered in the process. Sure, they weren't directly involved in the relationship, but it's kind of like seeing a beacon of true love get crushed right before their eyes. OK, that's a little drastic... But how upsetting was it when The Amazing Spider-Man co-stars Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield broke up back in April? Luckily, only a month later, there are reunion rumors that sound pretty promising. The latest piece of evidence? Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield were photographed grocery shopping together on Saturday.
Could this mean that everybody's favorite superhero couple is getting back together? Well, on Friday, People reported that Stone and Garfield are still dating. According to the site's source,
Emma and Andrew are a great couple who have been apart for work. They are still seeing each other. Nothing major happened between them while he was away other than a long and forced separation. Andrew has been incredibly busy and so has Emma. But the sparks are still there.
Based on recent events, it really does seem like "the sparks are still there." Let's take a look at all of the clues from the past few weeks!
Holding Hands
Earlier in the week, Emma and Andrew were spotted holding hands in Malibu Farm. They also reportedly ate together at Sushi Park. There weren't any photos taken, just an "eye witness." While this was good news, as the saying goes, "Pics or it didn't happen."
Complimenting Each Other
A few weeks ago, Emma Stone was asked about Garfield and how he compared working with her to "diving into a thrilling, twisting river and never holding on to the sides... Spontaneous. In the moment. Present. Terrifying. Vital. The only way acting with someone should be."
What did Emma say in response?
He is such a poet. [laughs] But that’s the way he writes in general. So I hear it and of course my heart swells up. And I also know that he writes things like that on a daily basis. [laughs]
How sweet are these statements? Absolutely adorable! This also shows they think highly of each other.
Grocery Shopping
As someone who detests grocery shopping (it's just such a chore), I believe you only do this with another human who's company you actually enjoy, to make the task less miserable. The fact that these two were spotted grocery shopping together makes me think things must be going well, huh?
While this doesn't confirm that they're officially back together, in the very least, it suggests friendship. Even if they don't start dating again, the fact that they can stay in each other's lives is a great sign!
