Li Bingbing Has Her Cannes Style On Lock
Could the dress game at this year's Cannes Film Festival be any more fabulous (and is it possible to read that last sentence without hearing it in Chandler Bing's voice)? Seriously, though: We've seen Lupita Nyong'o twirl (literally) down the red carpet in Gucci, Cara Delevingne out in the sunshine in a gorgeous LWD, Karlie Kloss fabbing it up in fishtailed Oscar de la Renta — and now we've got Li Bingbing absolutely killing it in a one-two punch courtesy of Zuhair Murad and Elie Saab (both of whom, it should be noted, are known for their showstopping sparkly ball gowns).
Bingbing has always had admirable style smarts. Take for instance, the absolute fabulosity that was the Transformers: Age of Extinction press tour (I'm still not over the Erdem jumpsuit she wore to the Beijing premiere of the film, by the way). She also recently stunned in sheer Dior, and the Georges Chakra she wore to Cannes way back in 2011 is still one of the most fabulous things I've ever seen.
That said, her latest may just be her greatest. Taken collectively, the Zuhair Murad she wore to the premiere of The Sea of Trees, and the Elie Saab she wore to the premiere of Carol are pretty darn formidable. Let's take a look!
The Zuhair Murad
I think this is what they call, "business in the front, party in the back." Most fabulously chic mullet dress ever, or most fabulously chic mullet dress ever? Mullet jokes aside, this is some seriously high level drama she's working here — sequins, illusion netting, and an epic train all in one dress — and she is pulling it off in a major way.
The Elie Saab
Nothing short of BEIGE PERFECTION.
All together pretty stunning, right? Here's hoping we get some more classical-yet-on-trend ball gowns from Ms. Li.
