It’s been only a few months since the producers of The Bachelorette announced this season’s twist surprise: There would be two Bachelorettes — Britt and Kaitlyn — that would fight each other to the death for the contestants' affections. Well, maybe not to the death, but close enough: One of the girls would be eliminated and the other would continue along her journey to find true love on national television. Well, now the premiere has come and gone, and we have a winner: Kaitlyn has been chosen as the new Bachelorette. She gets to visit exotic locales with a variety of hot men, and Britt… well, since Britt wasn't named the Bachelorette, what's next for her?
Now that Britt has been sent home, she needs a Plan B (and possibly even Plan C or D). Luckily for her — and her pretty, shiny hair — she has plenty of options. Eliminated Bachelor or Bachelorette contestants never really go away. Britt has her own set of #TeamBritt fans that are excited to see what is to come from the reality show star, even if it's not rose-related. With her chance at The Bachelorette in the past, Britt can move on to these six options, some of which might be even better than being the Bachelorette. Let’s take a look and see what she could possibly do next.
Start Her Own Line of Makeup
Britt gained her popularity during the Chris Soules season of The Bachelor when it was discovered that she barely showered and she slept with all of her makeup on, lest she be awakened at 4 a.m. by an overzealous producer who needed her for a date. I can’t say I blame her for that. Perhaps Britt could go on to create her own line of makeup that you can actually leave on for days on end and it won’t clog your pores. Or at least a line of makeup that stays on as well as hers did when she cried.
Become A Correspondent For An Entertainment Show
This is a popular move for ex-Bachelorette stars. Season 6 Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky now works for E! News so maybe Britt can use her as a connection. After all, there is always a need for red carpet reporters. Britt has style, grace, and a bubbly personality, so I imagine that she would be great at celebrity interviews and fashion critiques.
Bachelor In Paradise, Bachelor Pad, Or Another Bachelor Spinoff
This is also an easy one, and one I bet she could do next year. (Filming will start soon for Bachelor in Paradise, so I’m not sure she would make the cut-off for this season.) Bachelor in Paradise is a great way to “look for love” and extend your 15 minutes of Bachelorette fame. Plus it’s pretty fun and easy to put on a bikini and be filmed in an exotic location, isn’t it?
Show Up Halfway Through The Season
It’s not like this hasn’t happened before, with past The Bachelor and The Bachelorette contestants showing up in the middle of a season and begging for one more chance. Does it usually go well? No. But that doesn’t necessarily stop a gal (or guy) from trying.
Be Chris Harrison’s New Girlfriend
Why not? Chris is an eligible bachelor that hosts a show about eligible bachelors and bachelorettes. Chris Harrison hasn’t found love yet on the show, but given the amount of time he spends with the cast members, his next love story could easily come from a contestant. Why not the lovely and charming Britt?
Pull A Felicity, Chop Off Her Locks & Reinvent Herself
Britt is known for her long, luscious locks, and they’re very much a part of her persona. Why not do what Keri Russell did before the second season of Felicity and chop it all off? It would be a much-needed shock to The Bachelorette’s system.
What do you think Britt should do next? She’s not the next Bachelorette, but that doesn’t mean her time in the spotlight is over. In the meantime, I’m off to watch Kaitlyn try to find her true love.
