'GoT' Needs Theon To Get It Together, ASAP

by Kelly Schremph

Just when you thought Ramsay Bolton couldn't be anymore despicable, he goes and takes our hatred for him to a whole new level. During Sunday night's Game of Thrones episode "Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken," Ramsay forced Theon to watch him rape Sansa on the night of their wedding. And as you can suspect, Ramsay was anything but gentle during the whole thing. And while (thankfully) we don't see the horrid display take place firsthand, Sansa's moans of pain coupled with the expression of horror on Theon's face pretty much says it all. Conclusion: Theon needs to stop being Reek and start being someone worth rooting for. I also wouldn't mind if he took that Ramsay bastard out.

Seriously, if this moment isn't enough to spur him back on a path that includes not sleeping in a cage and doing the bidding of this Bolton nut then I don't know what is. Theon knows Ramsay better than anyone at this point, which could prove to be a worthwhile asset when it comes to bringing him down… for good. And, of course, by that I mean giving Ramsay the fitting and gruesome death that he deserves. Because don't kid yourselves, folks. This act of violence will not go unpunished. It's just a question of whether it will be by Sansa's or Theon's hands. Maybe even both if we're lucky.

I'll be the first to admit that Theon has made some terrible choices throughout these past few seasons. But this could end up being the thing that leads him down a path of redemption. He's served as Ramsay's lapdog long enough. It's time to let the dog off his leash. Plus, you have to admit, dying by the hands of the creature he created would be the perfect form of justice for someone like Ramsay. Revenge is a dished best served on a spike. And I can't wait to see that jerk's head on top of one.
