Laverne Cox Is A Vision In White & Silver

Among the sea of dresses and jumpsuits on the red carpet at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards, Laverne Cox totally stands out. Cox, an activist for transgender rights and star of Orange Is The New Black, is undeniably a woman of many talents. As if she didn't have enough titles already, alongside actress and advocate, Cox can now add fashionista to the list of things she's absolutely killin' it at. Whether it be the SAG Awards, the GLAAD Awards, or the VMAs, Cox always brings her A-game in both her outfits and her goddess-like presence.

At the BBMAs this year, Cox dazzled us with her bedazzled white and silver frock and made quite the statement with her enlightening words about body positivity and, of course, her gorgeous smile. Sporting a sleek pony, a bold red lip, and a winged eye, Cox looks sexy and sophisticated. Her beauty look tonight was a departure from her usual smoky eye and natural lip, and it totally worked, proving everyone should embrace change every now and then!

Cox was rocking a short and fitted Marc Bouwer dress adorned with dazzling sequins and studs. The gorgeous silhouette of the dress was wonderfully accented with studded silver hardware running vertically down the dress. Equal parts sexy and edgy. The structured shoulders of the garment gave the look a futuristic edge, while also transforming this goddess into a warrior queen. #SLAY.

Perhaps the sexiest part of the dress was the plunging V-shaped neckline, broken up by a thin halter strap coming from the center of her dress. There was absolutely no shortage of cleavage with this look, and I doubt anyone could complain about that.

In the past, Cox has rocked other outfits by Bouwer, including a gorgeous white dress at the 2014 Emmys. As usual, she looked like a perfect queen in this long and flowing gown. Along with (what I'd like to call) her Megatron Warrior Seductress look tonight, I think it's safe to say that magnificently queenly looks is totally Cox's signature thing.

Laverne Cox is clearly incredibly gifted in terms of outfit choices and beautiful curves, but she's also a superhero in bigger ways. As probably one of the only trans women of color at the Billboard Music Awards tonight, Cox took it upon herself to bring the style and fierceness to new heights to represent her community.

Clearly a fan of a hip-hugging dresses with plunging necklines, Cox is not afraid to show off her body and encourages others to embrace their own. By dressing so beautifully, and in outfits that show off her every curve, she is not only speaking to every other trans woman of color out there, but to everyone who could benefit from a lesson in body positivity. Praise you, Laverne!
