The blues legend that is B.B. King died Thursday evening at the age of 89, passing peacefully in his sleep at his Las Vegas home, his lawyer confirmed to The Associated Press. With that sad news, people across the world are turning to the very music created by the man with a weary voice and heart-pulling guitar. The best B.B. King songs are the ones that helped you understand his blues and helped you get through your own.

Fan grieved online at the news of King's passing, with many choosing to post a number of King's songs from his six-decade career. The "King of Blues" recorded his first songs in 1949, and he continued to put together bluesy hits even in his later years. A 15-time Grammy Award winner, King won his most recent in 2009 for the album One Kind Favor. The man just never really took a break until recently. Last October, an illness forced him to cut a tour short, and he was in hospice care at home since earlier this month, according to his website.
