Sometimes the world is a really sad place. But sometimes it's also filled with Miley Cyrus and Ariana Grande singing a song together while dressed in animal onesies to support a really good cause. So, I choose to pay attention to those positive things, rather than the bad. To raise awareness for The Happy Hippie Foundation — Cyrus' charity for youth struggling with everything from homelessness to facing bullying because of their LGBT status — the two singers paired up to produce an awesome new music video.
As part of Cyrus' Backyard Sessions, she's pairing with other well-known musicians to raise money "for LGBT youth and their families." In the video, she and Grande sit on a couch in the singer's yard with Cyrus dressed as a unicorn and Grande as a mouse (or a bear, depending on how you look at it). They gave a sweet live performance of "Don't Dream It's Over" by Crowded House. Not only is it a classic song, but it's a really good choice given the charity they're promoting. It sends a great message to those going through a hard time that there's always hope.
Oh, yeah, and for anyone who still doubts the talent of these two ladies, this song will leave their opinion in the dust. The vocals are flaw-wait-for-it-less. Flawless.
