This Sunday, May 17 is the 2015 Billboard Music Awards, and we are expecting the red carpet styles to be spectacular. In particular, Taylor Swift's red carpet look will be the one to watch. Her style has evolved tremendously over the years, and we're expecting her to pull all of the stops for this year's show.

Swift is known to be a game changer when it comes to her style. Over the past few years, Swift has transformed from a down home Southern girl to a modern glamorous woman. Her style seems to evolve right alongside the trends in her music. Back in 2011, Swift was owning the country music charts. Outfitted with her signature big blonde curls and red lips, Swift was always seen looking fresh-faced. As her music transformed into the pop sound we know today, her style evolved to be more glamorous and reminiscent of old Hollywood glamour. Wearing longer lengths and more demure cuts, Swift's style currently follows the trends of the 1940s and 1950s, with little modern, Urban Outfitters-supplied twists.

Over the years at the Billboard Music Awards, Swift's style has ranged from country elegance to flashy and sexy. Swift's style has transformed before our eyes over the past five years, and the Billboard Music Awards is a perfect timeline of her style evolution.

2011

Flashback to 2011 and Taylor Swift's first Billboard Music Awards. Wearing a beautiful full-length gown, the country crooner turned heads in this sparkly metallic dress. Showing off sleek curls and her signature red lip, Taylor Swift looked phenomenal. This was the perfect outfit to accept the Billboard Artist of the Year award.

2012

Sticking to the long and elegant trend from the prior year, Swift was a knock out in this red paneled dress by Elie Saab. Known for her big blonde curls, Swift changed it up by showing off a more sleek and simple style. This year Swift secured two nominations including Top Touring Artist and Top Country Artist.

2013

This was the year that Taylor Swift really showed off her pop star presence. Dressed in a blue sequin mini dress by Zuhair Murad, Swift was a showstopper at 2013 award show. This is a major change up from her previous two looks from the award show. The Zuhair Murad dress brings a sassy edge to Swift's style, and is a great representative of her transition into the world of pop. Not only did she look fabulous, but the pop star brought home eight trophies from the night including Artist of the Year.

2014

Swift went a completely different route for her dress at the 2014 Billboard Women in Music awards last December. Wearing a high-low white and black dress complete with short curls and a red lip, Swift showcased her traditional old Hollywood glamor style. Swift rocked this type of style for the majority of 2014. In short, she looked fierce, and 2015's ensemble is bound to be even fiercer.
