Lea Michele Debuted New Bangs

Bangs are back in a big way, and we aren't complaining. Lea Michele debuted new bangs on Instagram yesterday, and she is looking super fierce. Celebrities are embracing the bang trend, but instead of styling them in a sweet and feminine way, they are sweeping their locks into messy, side braids for an edgier look, one that we think Lea Michele definitely owns.

Michele has been in NYC promoting her new comedy-horror anthology series Scream Queens on FOX. For her FOX upfronts appearance, Michele gave her Hollywood hairstylist Sarah Potempa some creative reign and came out with the same adorable style seen on Blake Lively: the full-fringe bangs with a side-swept fishtail braid.

According to People, Potempa cut Michele's bangs and then used the Beachweaver tool to curl the star's hair before sweeping it up into a high pony and braiding a fishtail braid from the outside (left over middle, right over middle, etc.). The braid may seem hard at first, but mastering it ensures endless styling possibilities.

Michele paired the 'do with a pinky nude lip and a bold, smoky eye with soft, highlighted cheeks. She wore a long-sleeved, ruby-red dress with simple black heels and understated jewelry. Clearly, her hair was the star of the show.
