Rebel Wilson Is Designing A Collection With Torrid

This is a big week for Rebel Wilson: Not only is one of her biggest films to date, Pitch Perfect 2, being released in theaters, but plus retailer Torrid has announced a capsule collection with the actress. Rebel Wilson's clothing line for Torrid, succinctly titled "Rebel For Torrid," will be a 25-piece collection set to drop in November. The company is describing it as a "holiday collection" that will be limited-edition. So if you want to dress like Rebel, you're probably going to need to snatch it up quickly before it sells out.

"I've had a 'torrid' affair with buying clothes all my life. I've never really felt like there's a brand out there in the plus-size world that is creating cool stuff, that fits well, and is good quality yet affordable," Wilson said in a press release. "So it was awesome to team with Torrid, who I think are doing such a great job in making plus-size fashion relevant and dope." This is the trendy plus-size retailer's first foray into a collaboratively-designed collection, and they seem equally as pleased to have partnered with Wilson. "She represents everything that Torrid is: young, fun, fearless. She has a strong point of view and inspires girls around the world to wear what they love, no apologies," said Torrid CEO Lisa Harper.

Here are just seven reasons why I'm joining the party and am super excited about this collab:

1. This Could Cement Wilson's Place As A Fashion Icon

The best way to go from budding style icon to total fashion goddess? Your own clothing line, obviously. If this goes as well as I hope it does, this could open all kinds of doors for Wilson.

2. Torrid Has A Lot Of Younger Customers

Torrid's young, trendy aesthetic will let plus-size customers who are usually excluded from designer and celeb collabs take part in the excitement.

3. The Collection Will Be Affordable

OK, it won't be free but pieces will start at $28.50. With plus-size clothing tending to run more expensive than its straight size counterparts, this is a welcome price. Score!

4. Torrid Will Make It More Accessible

The fact that the line will actually be carried in stores and the fact the chain has tons of locations nationwide means that more babes will have the chance to try on and buy this line in person.

5. The Collection Goes Up To Size 28

With one of the biggest size ranges of all the plus-size retailers, this line will be more inclusive of plus-size people of all sizes.

6. Wilson Had Tons Of Control Over The Line

The collection's not just gonna be your average line with Wilson's name slapped onto it, so her taste and personality will come through. SVP of Design for Torrid (in a press release) said Wilson has been "totally hands-on throughout the process" and "cares about every detail, down to the diamante rivet on the jeans." FUN.

7. KOALAS

Paying homage to her Australian roots, one t-shirt will have a koala print — and that just sounds adorable.
