On Thursday, fans of The Vampire Diaries will officially say goodbye to Elena Gilbert, who we've watched romance two beautiful Salvatore brothers, all while going from human to vampire to human for the past six seasons. Not only will TVD fans have to bid Elena adieu, but we'll also have to give a farewell to actress Nina Dobrev. What is Dobrev going to do now that she's moving on from the character that made her a huge star? Well, not only is she going to audition for other roles, but Dobrev is also taking a cross-country road trip.
If you're a follower of Dobrev on Instagram, then you've probably noticed all of the fun photos she's been sharing from her #Gypsy5OnARide road trip. That's right, the actress is currently traveling from Atlanta (where she filmed TVD) to Los Angeles, which will soon be her new home. While chatting with Self magazine, she revealed that she and six friends are traveling across the country, with stops in New Orleans, Houston, Austin, Santa Fe, Sedona, the Grand Canyon, and Las Vegas. Of course, the last stop will be her new home in Los Angeles.
Dobrev said, “There are no hotel reservations, no real plans. Just six people, three vehicles, two in each car.” I assume this interview was given before Dobrev began her road trip, because she's been sharing pictures like crazy.
Even though it's only five people, including Dobrev and her adorable cat, Lynx, it looks like she and her friends are having the time of their lives. The photos of her road trip just might help ease the pain of Elena Gilbert's exit, because when Dobrev is happy, her fans are happy, right?
