Charlize Killed It At The 'Mad Max' Premiere

I'm pretty sure there is an undisclosed rule in the celebrity world that says once you become a mom over a certain age, you're seen way differently. But seeing Charlize Theron's Mad Max premiere outfit definitely trumped any remains of that rule, for sure. If there was ever a perfect way to wear black and white, this has got to be it. Instead of doing the traditional two-piece outfit, Theron went for something a little more fitting, with a very nice combination of feminine and edgy.

The almost 40-year-old has yet to age, so it's no surprise that she looked incredible on the red carpet for her new movie, Mad Max: Fury Road . She turned to Dior for her patent leather mesh gown, featuring both black and white sections. It's shiny without being too "patent leather shiny," and she looks like she was born to wear it. Paired with some serious Harry Winston diamond action on her wrists (and ears), simple black ankle strap heels, and a black Dior (duh) clutch, Theron is literally shining. Like I said, this comes as no surprise — and neither does her amount of Dior apparel — but it just reminds me how good she's always looked.

If I could be as classically beautiful as she is when I'm a mom, I'll never complain again. Whoever helped her style this look should be patted on the back, because even if you can't afford this outfit, finding similar pieces wouldn't be that hard. Check some closer shots below and take notes.
