It's hard to believe, but summer is just around the corner. If you live in a part of the United States that has four seasons, such as the Northeast or the Midwest, you know what a tough winter it has been and are probably more than ready for it to be warm outside and to stay warm outside — at least for the time being. And what is talk of summer without talk of amazing summer vacations.

After all, vacations are an awesome way to escape from reality. But sometimes they don't go as planned. And sometimes you just end up staying home instead... But luckily, regardless of whether or not we hop on that train or plane to a fantastic destination, we have celebrity vacations we can follow. We can live vicariously through A-listers on trips that the rest of us can probably only dream of. And who doesn't want to hear about the latest luxe celebrity trip, private butlers, yachts, and dreamy backdrop settings all included? So here is a round up of some of the most amazing and luxurious celebrity vacations in recent years. Prepare to ooh and ahh over the glamorous details, but be warned, you will probably get jealous.

George & Amal Clooney

For their 2014 honeymoon, George and Amal Clooney reportedly booked a private resort in Seychelles in the Indian Ocean. The exclusive hotel is made up of 11 villas, each of which measure 5,000 square feet and come with a personal plunge pool. Candlelit baths and dining on the beach are included. So how private is this A-list place? It's accessible only by helicopter.

Beyoncé & Jay Z

I know, I know, no one wants to think about snow right now. But Bey and Jay's Iceland trip in 2014 was really one for the books (and they get bonus points for thinking of such a unique, non-cliché getaway). They stayed at the ultra-luxe Trophy Lounge, where the pair rode in a helicopter in the mountains, toasted with champagne, took on snowmobiles, and warmed up in an outdoor steam pool.

Kardashian-Jenner Family

In 2013, the Kardashian-Jenner clan made the entire world green with envy by heading to the exclusive Greek island of Mykonos to shoot a segment of their reality show there. The trip included clear blue infinity pools, yachts, ATVing, oh yeah, and diamond jewelry, which, of course, was all dutifully documented on Instagram.

A trip fit for royalty! In 2012, the pair vacationed with the duchess's family in a luxurious private island in the Carribean called Mustique — even the name sounds fancy! Naturally, they stayed in a luxury $28,000 villa while soaking up the tropical sunshine on the private beaches. Since then, the island has been a vacation favorite for the lovebirds.

Carrie Underwood & Mike Fisher

The pair made their honeymoon one to remember in 2010 at Tahiti's luxurious Le Taha'a Resort. The lovebirds stayed in an "over-water" suite, and enjoyed snorkeling and indulged in fabulous views of the entire island from a private helicopter.

In 2003, Lil Kim partied it up while vacationing at Miami's Shore Club Hotel. At the chic celeb hotspot, a one-night stay with your own chef, butler, and personal trainer can cost $15,000. Well, at least the Queen Bee had all her amenities.
