The Trailer For 'KUTWK: About Bruce' Is Here

Several weeks have passed since Bruce Jenner's 20/20 interview with Diane Sawyer, in which Jenner revealed that he is “for all intents and purposes … a woman" and now, his family is opening up about Jenner's journey. The first official promo for the E! special Keeping Up With The Kardashians: About Bruce is here, and it shows just some of how the former Olympian's family is supporting Jenner as he embarks on his journey. The trailer for the new special hints at the family's reaction to Jenner revealing his struggle with gender identity, and the way in which the entire reality show clan is rallying around Jenner during his time of need.

Jenner's lengthy interview with Sawyer revealed many aspects of his personal journey, as well as the way in which he is cliving his life today. One of the statements that Jenner reiterated throughout the 20/20 interview was that he did not want to hurt his family with his decision to go public about his gender identity. After the reveal, many of Jenner's family members rushed to support Jenner via social media, including stepdaughter Kim Kardashian, who applauded Jenner for his bravery, tweeting that Jenner's honesty "opened the doors for others to be courageous and live an authentic life."

Though we've heard from Jenner's children, the special is the first time we'll really get to see how they are responding to Jenner's admission. My hope was that E! would use the family's infamous reality show to highlight the support and love that Jenner's family has for him, and, luckily, the trailer for the new special seems indicate exactly that. Within the trailer we hear soundbites of what sounds like Kim Kardashian stating that the family "wants to understand his struggle" and a voice that could potentially be Kylie Jenner's stating that she "wants to meet her, when he's ready, when we're both ready." The trailer is shot over old home movies of the Kardashian-Jenner family, driving the point home that these reality stars really do put family first, and will support Jenner in his journey.

The special will consist of two parts, the first of which will air on May 17 at 9PM and the second of which will air on May 18 at 9PM. Check out the promo below.
