'Indiana Jones' Reboot Might Happen & These 9 Actors & Actresses Would Flawlessly Reinvent The Iconic Role
Start preparing yourselves now, Indy fans: An Indiana Jones reboot may be is on its way. In an interview with Vanity Fair, the president of Lucasfilm, Kathleen Kennedy, commented that the rumored Indiana Jones reboot film "will one day be made inside this company. When it will happen, I’m not quite sure. We haven’t started working on a script yet, but we are talking about it.” So OK — there's no story, star, or director quite yet, but still — if Kennedy's words are true, the franchise will return, and likely sooner rather than later. With the upcoming Star Wars sequels on their way too, it seems Lucasfilm and Disney are focusing their energy on taking the box office by storm solely through playing on your love of nostalgic sci-fi action films.
Though there have been talks about Chris Pratt and Bradley Cooper taking on the lead, neither have been confirmed. As great as those two would be in the role, they'd be more of a reprise of Harrison Ford's portrayal rather than a reinvention — which leads me to think that Disney and Lucasfilm should totally just go in an entirely different direction with this reboot, should it ever happen. And, to get the company started, here are some men and women who I think could really take the role and mold it into something entirely different. You're welcome, guys.

Daniel Dae Kim
It’s time for Kim to step out of the ensemble role and into the leading man role.
Michael B. Jordan
The Human Torch is versatile, y’all.
John Cho
He’ll make you laugh, he’ll make you swoon, he’ll make you totally root for him — no matter what.
Samira Wiley
If you can survive at Litchfield in Orange is the New Black, you can certainly survive any Indiana Jones adventure. Wiley has just the right balance of toughness, humor, and heart.
Rila Fukushima
Between The Wolverine, Game of Thrones, and Arrow, Fukushima is adept at taking on action, fantasy, sci-fi, and everything in between.
Emma Stone
She’s already co-starred in another major franchise, The Amazing Spider-Man, as an iconic character, and she absolutely killed that role (until she was killed off, sadface) — it’s about time for Stone to star in an action-adventure film.
Sendhil Ramamurthy
Oh sorry, I got lost in that stare…It’s about time the man best known for portraying Heroes’ Mohinder takes the leap from television to the big, big screen.
Gwendoline Christie
Brienne of Tarth is already taking on Star Wars — why not add Indiana Jones as well?
