Mae Whitman Wore The Chicest "Boob" Suit Ever
The news has been swirling around Mae Whitman like nobody's business — her role from the 1996 film Independence Day was recently recast with It Follows newcoming-star Maika Monroe. That said, the actress seems to be taking the news in stride — in fact last night, Mae Whitman stepped out in a "boob" suit that proves she's doing just fine. As Whitman's established herself as a real talent over her decades-long career (most recently by headlining future cult classic, The DUFF ), many people — especially Anna Kendrick (who sounded off with a tweeted "What the actual f***?") — were quite outraged over the recasting of her role, but something tells me she'll find other projects to keep her occupied.
Whether it's just a really excellent fashion choice or a subtle touch of IDGAF-ness to go along with all of the Independence Day 2 drama, there's no denying the fabulosity of Whitman's latest ensemble. Designed by Rachel Antonoff, and very accurately dubbed "The Boob Suit," the suit itself is white and patterned with — well, there's no way around this — topless ladies. The ladies are drawn in a whimsical, artsy style, and the suit itself is perfectly fitted with a chic, plunging neckline — you know, to go along with the whole boob theme.
Whitman styled the ensemble perfectly with some seriously A+ hair and beauty game: She wore long and undone boho waves, a Parisian red lip (with her signature bold brows, of course), and a supremely stylish white manicure paired with a statement ring — let's take a look:
Fab, right? Ms. Whitman could totally start a trend with this incredibly stylish printed suit.
